Woo Hoo!!!

I just saw online my petition was approved on october 23rd . I guess my question now is what happens next i have not received the noa in the mail yet says it was mailed on the 23rd 1 question i do have is i have a transcript of my 2007 income tax return will that be sufficient if they ask for it or do i need to order an actual copy also should i go ahead and order info from my 401 to show my savings or wait to see what they ask for

lol also i do not have a savings account only ,y 401 do i put down deposits for my checking account etc

3.15.2014: Mailed I-130 Packet for Mom and Dad

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)

5.21.2013: Biometrics

7.18.2013: Testing and Interview

prepare your ITR,W2 and i-130. well u can also get a copy of your saving on your bank, pay stubs, or pay check, but most of all try to grather all possible important papers u guys need to for interview . please go to philippines section and u can read the pinned section there and everthing is there already. good luck.

hey guys new here don't even have pick on yet. I was wondering when you say that papers have been touched how are you finding this out. I have hired attorney to handle this. i know this much file got there sept12 check cashed the 16th. I signed in to get updates .......lol how the heck you guys finding this out....thanks :dance:

papajeff: welcome to vj! :star: if you have a question you may find it helpful to click onto new topic and then the question won't get lost amongst a different topic you have posted on.

The USCIS send out a NOA1 letter (1-797,notice of action) to the petioner and on the top left side of the letter is a receipt number. That is the one that you use to check status at USCIS.

If you sign up with USCIS, it will state what date your case was last updated. that is what we call a 'touch'.

I'm not sure what happens when you hire an attorney as to whether you receive the NOA1 directly or if it goes to your lawyer. Maybe someone who has an attorney can tell you if you receive the NOA1 or they do.

January 20th, 2009: Received NOA2, confirming that the K1 petition has been approved.

February 10th, 2009: Kat receives Packet 3 from Sydney consulate.

February 18th, 2009: Medical Exam.

March 4th, 2009: Medical exam results received.

March 30th, 2009: Kat mails out Packet 3 to consulate (11:45pm!)

April 7th, 2009: Received Packet 4. Interview scheduled for April 21st at 9am.

April 21st, 2009: Visa Interview @ Sydney Consulate. PASSED!!! :)

May 21st, 2009: POE @ SFO.

July 11th, 2009: Married.

August 13th, 2009: Filed for AOS.

August 20th, 2009: Received NOAs for I-485 & I-765

September 19, 2009: Biometrics Interview

October 3rd, 2009: Received EAD card in mail.

November 24th, 2009: Received Welcome Notice & 2yr PRC!!

September 21st, 2011: Filed I-751 for 10 year PRC

July 3rd, 2012: Received 10 year PRC in mail.

August 27th, 2012: Filed N-400.

August 29th, 2012: N-400 Application received by Arizona service center.

September 4th, 2012: Electronic notice received confirming receipt of application.

October 24th, 2012: Biometrics appointment

December 19th, 2012: Interview letter received. Interview set for January 23rd, 2013.
