correct, i think broken when his fighter jet crashed and no medical treatment for a long time....he is just lucky to be alive...

correct

McCain fractured both arms and a leg, and nearly drowned when he parachuted into Truc Bach Lake.[33] Some North Vietnamese pulled him ashore, then others crushed his shoulder with a rifle butt and bayoneted him.[33] McCain was then transported to Hanoi's main Hoa Lo Prison, nicknamed the "Hanoi Hilton".[34]

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

mccain did a service for his country in a time of need (define by the gov't) ..almost lost his life and ended up with physical impairment..although, his political views are different than mine, i respect him for his service..sacrifice and toughness...

You have to volunteer to become a pilot and only one in ten thousand make it, certainly no shortages of volunteers and was also very true during the VN war McCain didn't have to go, the guys on the front line had no choice. Soviets supplied surface to air missiles to the NVN, weren't the best, and if half awake, could be avoided. Really don't want to put McCain down for this, but their has to be more to this story, he did get shot down, others didn't.

Wasn't a popular war by no means, troops coming home that didn't want to go there in the first place to be called baby killers, Bush and Clinton got out of it. Yet another war not declared by congress and to top it off, seeing many articles in stores today, Made in Viet Nam. Can feel sorry for hundreds of thousand guys, brother-in-law for one, died early with Agent Orange, but not by the enemy, but by us. And exactly what is this war in Iraq proving, were any of you there in these wars? Do you complain when your air conditioner doesn't work?

Is it fair to our young men to dress them up like soldiers sticking out like sore thumbs in a country where they can't tell the difference between good or bad guys? They sure can tell us apart from the rest and a few very unfortunate soldiers were held accountable for shooting a tad too quick, it's a very awkward situation that is ran by a draft dodger.

McCain does scare me, while experiencing the worse, still maintains an arrogant attitude toward other countries, much like that guy in the White House now. We can spend trillions plus the bodies of our young men, feel we were successful, leave, and that country will return to exactly the same way we left it. And still the very strong argument that we are making more enemies than friends by being there.

JFK was slow to push the button against his advisers when the Soviets had nuclear warheads on their submarine torpedos, WW III could have easily been broken out and we wouldn't be here to talk about it. We actually need a presidency with a lot less power, and at least one that has a cool head. Ironically is was that war in Afghanistan that really broke the Soviets, no lessons to be learned there, we are doing the same exact thing to ourselves.
