I can not believe that it has been ONE F#@%in year and absolutely nothing--more than the record being transferred from one service center to another-- has been done!! I am totally annoyed that we have to put our life on hold for I dont know what.

I wish that they could tell us one way or another whether we are approved, that way we can move on- I am sure we all feel that way but to be in limbo for one year or longer, this is completely bananas!

Anyway, I thought that I should let that out!!

I dont feel any better but I said what I said.

Bureaucracy at its finest

OHMY

ps- good luck to all on your journey

I don't understand. You are past the priority date. What have they told you? That is crazy. Did you have an rfe? I am so sorry to hear this. That must be really tough. I have heard that trying to get into Canada is even harder. Have you thought about that or are you set on moving to the US?

Well, since they transferred the file in August, they said we would have to wait 60 days before we can make an inquiry. I am the CC and my husband is the USC- so we decided to involve the congressman in our area. No, there are no RFE's or anything of that sort. I am at my wits end and not sure where to go from here but to congress and hopefully that works for us!

I really feel most horribly for my husband who does not get the time with our son that I do!

Thanks, Frali but there is no real bright side waiting this long!

What did you tell the congressman and what (if anything) have they done for you?

I can't believe you are still waiting.

Are there any extenuating circumstances involved?

What state is your husband in?

I had an equally horrendous wait. It turned out there was absolutely nothing wrong with my case. No RFEs or anything. My wife had an easy interview and got her visa with no problems. I think I was just unlucky to get a dimwit adjudicator at USCIS. You should definitely contact your congressman just to find out what is happening with your case.

Sorry this has happened to you.

But look at the bright side. You will get a IR1 visa once approved :)

Not sure if you're just trying to be funny....but IR1 requires 2 years of marriage.

To the OP, hang in there. Stay in contact with your spouse, and Do NOT give up!

Hey Ms Z, we are getting all the papers now to get this thing moving. No extenuating circumstances, as far as we are concerned- like I said, overstay only but that hasn't stopped a lot of others here! By the way, he is in the good ol' Georgia!!! I know the South is slow but we are in California ;) .

Sasha, thanks for the encouraging words but I heard that one too many times over the course of one year-today actually- I will not have my hopes up this time. but I understand and appreciate your response.

THanks, Ninjarocket- I hope after the USCIS, its fast and easy sailing - one can only hope!!!

LING LING, in December it will be TWO years- so that is exactly what I should get- but who the heck knows- anything can change. I dont think that I can give up but sometimes being far apart, as we all know, creates tension but we have to overcome this obstacle. For us and our son too!

Again, thanks to all for being so nice!
