I don't know exactly what this means, but I found out today that the National Benefits Center mailed my wife's application to our local USCIS office yesterday. I would assume that means an interview letter will be coming soon, but I have no idea. Hopefully this is the beginning of good news for October filers.

I found out today that the National Benefits Center mailed my wife's application to our local USCIS office yesterday.

How did you find that out?

I asked my local U.S. Senator's office to find out where the case was and she called the National Benefits Center to find out where they were at with processing.

Lots are being transferred to NBC. Supposedly it's a place that recently started processing these to try and reduce response. It seems to have worked over the past few months, but we are all still waiting on Interview letters.

By the way, it seems weird that you haven't gotten a biometrics letter. Everyone else (who didn't do it overseas) has already had theirs.

According to this web site...

"The NBC was established to serve as the hub and conduit for USCIS local field offices by completing all pre-interview processing of Forms generally requiring an interview. This pre-processing includes conducting background security checks."
