U.S. intelligence analysts eavesdropped on personal calls between Americans overseas and their families back home and monitored the communications of workers with the Red Cross and other humanitarian organizations, according to two military linguists involved in U.S. surveillance programs.

...

The linguists said that recordings of intimate conversations between citizens and their loved ones were sometimes passed around, out of prurient interest, among analysts at an electronic surveillance facility at Ft. Gordon, Ga.

...

"I observed people writing down, word for word, very embarrassing conversations," Faulk told The Times. "People would say, 'Hey, check this out, you're not going to believe what I heard.' "

Their claims were reported Thursday by ABC News.

So what, with five years with the USCIS, the most private parts of our lives are all open book, in an IRS audit, just told them with all the information they have on my financial dealings, why do I even bother filing taxes, just send me the bill. In my accident, all of my medical records that the opposing insurance dug up is now open records for anyone to read at our local court house, laugh my things off when I am told about medical privacy. At our airports, they already know what the insides of my wife's butt looks like.

Tapping into our phone conversations would be the most mildest thing they can do, but hell, why tap in, they can join in on the conversation, hell, let's make a party out of it.

Military intelligence doing it to military personnel is one thing. The NSA is a civilian intelligence gathering agency. Doing it to civilians as well. There in itself lies the difference.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Well, since they are looking at citizens intimate calls, and we're always told they do it to watch for terrorism, then American citizens are the terrorists, according to the U.S. government.

Pretty much. According to 'them.'

Well then, it's time for a new government. Impeach them all.

Not surprising at all. And yeah, too tired for outrage. Patrick and I used to randomly try to get the words "Hitler" or "terrorist" into our conversations just to see if we were being monitored.

Hmmm....maybe that's why AOS is still pending?
