why not? quid pro quo ....

No.Like I said they should be made to get off their lazy a$$es and work. There are so many ways for people in this country to get ahead. There is no excuse for them.

There's 1 Million new people on welfare. Times are tough. I think it would cost more to ship everyone off to these foreign countries than it would be to just send them a check every two weeks.

boat rides probably don't cost much ... steerage ... just like many ancestors that came to the US ...

Well'I'm sick and tired of paying $500 a pay period in taxes so thay can sit around, have sex,and watch TV all day.I think they should be made to work right here in the US of A.

would you consider watching their home made videos in trade? this way your porn would be free ... :hehe:

:dead: No thanks,I'll pass !

sorry ... didn't mean to give you a mental image that would cause nightmares ...

Halloween is near,so I guess you just wanted to celebrate early, right ?

you must be the one wearing the emperor's new clothes ...

Only in the privacy of my own apartment.

Oh, is that what people on welfare are doing?

The ones in my neighborhood have been diong this for generations.

Do you somehow think that people on welfare (assuming SSI/SSDI) do not pay taxes? Because over a certain tier, they do.

and under ... they don't ...

do you know what the under is?

funds generated under the table ... not reported ... so ppl can get the max from the gov't ...

And somehow that's a majority - or at least enough for people to say these really disgusting comments? You are making some nasty generalizations about people on programs.

I've known ppl on both sides ... the ppl working and generating funds under the table gave me a rude awakening ...

Me too, they really awakened me royally !

Mexico already does it to America. The government actively promotes their poor come here, by any means possible.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Yes, we should.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

You are right it is a good thing right. I am sure the Irish would love to see people walk, push them aside and take over their jobs; suppressing wages and so forth. Actually I have seen first hand how 'open' they are to this idea in Aus. The unions and the Irish go hand in hand there. Not only would they be kicking and screaming but they would be tearing government buildings down. If the US government allows people from another nation to walk in here and take a job that an American could be doing, then the blame rests on them. A job that one of the millions of Americans who are out of work could be doing might I add.

Welfare is useless without opportunity, otherwise we would become a France. Opportunity is not an option when you have an unlimited supply of cheap labor.

I feel like knocking him out for wasting my time reading his garbage. Welfare does work if distributed according and the recipients are held accountable. Being from Australia, I know they use a variety of measures to try ensure people do not abuse it. For the majority of people it helps them get back on their feet. Hence the concept of welfare in the first place.

I would rather pay a little more and get someone or a family back on their feet rather than have to support them for life, on food stamps, or pay for one of their prison sentences. Even Republicans have to realize that this each to their own approach has failed and simply does not work.

In reaction to the (moronic) majority here, the statue of liberty's plaque will hereby be ammended to say:

We are now sending out our tired, our poor,

Our huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of our teeming shore.

Sending out these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to you:

I lift my lamp beside the golden door as it slams shut behind them.

That reminds me of something happening to America.
