I heard this today. I have to admit it made me feel ill as well.

Yes, there is a total lack of ethics and integrity these days. This is a serious worldwide problem when certain people becoming so wealthy that it is morally obscene.

Yup.

Like I said somewhere...if I hear the words golden parachute one more time I will throw up.

Look wonder-full VJers, we can never understand what it is like for those people.

Those people that are the Wall Street types and the CEO types of huge corporations.

They have different perspectives....skewed ones!

They believe they are entitled.

Ah privilege.

It is a dis-ease and it is called:

AFFLUENZA.

When the working class have to tighten their belts when times are tough, the execs of these companies are still drawing huge salaries even while their boat is sinking.

Can anyone figure this out?

I sure cannot.

The bailout/rescue should not have happened.

It is not helping regular folks in the U.S.

Perhaps they should have just given them some golden buckets to "bail out".

That and a cardboard box to empty their desks of personal belongings.

A little perspective may be needed here.

From the media, they say none of those from the finance division (the real culprits) took part in the spa event.

This event was most likely an incentive trip planned for some of the top producers in the company.

The event was absolutely not planned within a week...even the military might be challenged by that kind of logistical planning.

Was it a bad idea to go through with it...absolutely. But they probably put down deposits on airfare and the resort months

or even a year prior. Somebody made a really poor decision in going through with the trip.

Here's an example for you to consider....you'd been planning your dream vacation for a year. Tickets are paid for,

time share is paid for, and then a couple months before the trip you get laid off. Now all of a sudden you're having problems

paying your bills. You have to swallow your pride and ask the in-laws for a small loan.

THEN the in-laws see your vacation pics...and they're PISSED.

I'm not saying they should've gone through with it, but giving a little perspective to those of you who are driving the porcelain bus.
