When I requested my Absentee Ballot (leaving for Italy on the 23rd) it said they would start mailing them out 3 weeks prior election day, but I received it already 2 days ago...needless to say I am excited...my first time as a voter in the US!

Congratulations! My husband hopes to vote four years from now.

Thank you! Good luck to your hubby!

Thank you :)

I'll ask this in the naturalization forum if necessary, but do you have dual citizenship? My coworker's wife is a LPR from Costa Rica and he said she's avoided getting dual citizenship even though she could because she wouldn't be able to vote. I told him I thought she could vote with dual citizenship, but I want to make sure I'm giving him the correct information.

Yes, I have dual. It all depends on your hubby's homecountry. The US allow dual citizenship it just does not recognize it (Italy works the same way, it basically means that for the US I am only American and for Italy I am only Italian, therefore I have to use 2 passports when I travel to/from the 2 countries) so if Morocco allows it too then he can apply for US citizenship as well without having to give up his native one. Hope it helps, but PM me if you have any questions.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Thanks :) Morocco allows it too, but he would need his Moroccan passport when he traveled back. I think it's the same for my coworker's wife.

my hubby is mailing in his vote..

me too.

Good call. One less person in line. I'm hoping I won't slow things down if I just go at the crack of dawn. My parents have signed up to drive people with transportation issues to the polls. I'm interested to see how smoothly things go.
