the worst has to be when you've been waiting in line the day after thanksgiving since around 1am and someone strolls in around 8am and tries to cut in line. THATs a fight right there!

I just had someone cut in front of me in the gas line during lunch. It was unintentional & it was handled without incident, but if he did it on purpose and refused to move it would have been a whole different situation. I'm tired of people disrespecting other people (I lived in NYC & how I got out of there without killing someone I have no idea). Like I said before its an erosion of common decency in today's society.

There's nothing wrong with picking a fight with people over mundane things. I personally am not the fighting kind at all, it's beneath me. But no matter what, a man should never, ever hit a woman. That's just low class, pathetic and barbaric. If he was so upset about whatever it was that happened, or about whatever it was said, he should've walked away to cool off.

Several posts talk about the teen getting "taught a lesson" for "being mouthy."

Personally, I prefer the non-invasive form of teaching. Less messy that way.

That's where parenting comes in. My little brother who is eight never bad mouth to strangers.

The problem I have is the assumption that it's the teenager that must be "taught." How about teaching the man that you don't cut in line? Besides, with no audio, it's a bit difficult to tell just what the girl said, perhaps she wasn't "mouthing-off" (whatever that means) at all.
