Cheers all,

Its been somewhat of a long road, traveling thru the USCIS nightmare. At times couldnt even see the tunnel to get through it and then found a flashlight and saw some objects (bump it was just USCIS backlog file) and then figurered out that maybe to burn a fire would help us see the light at the end of this tunnel. I luv matches and what a fire i burnt taking this plight further than this forum, but thats for another day and another thread.

Without VJ I think I would have been so lost. The people that I have met here are the best, the support, the advice, beyond any website I can think of.

Its come down to less than 48 hours to a yes or no. Simple math - over a year of worrying and sadness and yes of course at times tears of happiness with an approval here and there, it will take basically two to ten minutes of an interview to get Kris here finally. Positive thoughts only right now!

I wanted to say a huge thanks to alot of you, that have been here with me for this past year, and also to a special heartfelt thank you to Rebeccajo for being a great mentor and leading me in the right direction with strong advice and very practical - smiles!!

GOGO - you made my week, heck you made everyones week with your approval. What can I say mate but Im still beaming.

JohnJean hang in there mates, xxxxxxxx Luv you guys.

Nita side by side habibi all the way.

So Friday it is mates and then I can finish this topic with the post interview for anyone that cares to read it.

All I want to say to the rest of you is that there will be times when you think omg I cant do it....those are the times you draw strength from the other senior members here with their wisdom and also from mates you have met. We are here for a purpose - to learn these steps in order to do it the LEGAL WAY and no other way.

There are so many of you that I did not mention but you know who you are, and I carry your stories, your heartaches your joys in my heart forever.

God Bles all of you and try to stay strong - this is not a journey for the weak at heart - but then Love is not weak is it?

Cheers

Feel 1000% better now that the NVC process has begun (well technically still waiting for mail from them..)..

The pain wasn't really the separation distance wise or the length of the wait...last year I expected a 1 year wait, but the uncertainty is what made it unbearable at times. So it's ending up that it'll likely be 1 and 1/2 or 2 years... if that was known on the other end it would have made things easier to deal with.

But, as my spouse says, if you agree to a foreign marriage, this goes with the territory. When you agree to marriage, you agree to all this BS ontop of the normal wedding vows when you engage in a foreign marriage.

It's really hard to be patient...and being told to be patient never helped me, except when my spouse said it, and said it often. It enabled things to be more tolerable since I knew she'd be there waiting for our days together no matter what happened, how difficult or how long we had to wait.

The site though was (as is) incredible informative. It helped being able to tell my spouse that the delays weren't only us (though I don't think I saw anyone with a longer wait unless they had some complex issue in their past). It's also helping me now to estimate a general time frame from NOA2 to the end.

no doubt this is a valuable site.
