I am waiting for my package to arrive but I started already with the criminal records here in Peru. However, I lived in New York for 5 years. Do I need criminal records from New York too? or with the ones from Peru is enough?? please help me with it

Yep this is handled when USCIS/NVC/Consulate do name checks.

Note: Present and former residents of the United States should NOT obtain any police certificates covering their residence in the U.S.
