Hello everyone,

Can someone please tell me how long is the k1 visa valid for once issued at the u.s.a embassy in india, im not sure whether it is 6 months or 3 months that my fiance has to come to united states. your help is deeply appreciated.

the visa is valid for 6 months to get to the usa unless the embassy allows an extension for 6 months very rare need to contact embassy if more than 6 months is needed to get the usa then once here u have 3 months to get married or get sent back

You have six months to use the visa one time and one time only. Then you have three months to marry but nobody is going to come looking for a marriage license, not see one and escort you to the airport. Leaving is voluntary and there are other options. Let's not over-state the case by using inflated terms like "sent back".

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
