Palin: I've seen Russia from Alaska

Maybe she just wanted to show that she has experience so she said she can "see Russia" kinda like when we want to relate to a place, for example, that we know a lot about or know the cultural ways, we say "I practically live there." She's definately "closer" to Russia than the rest of us, or what it seems to everyone. I don't think she was being literal here but feigning expertise. Overall I don't take anything she says too seriously, not yet anyway. Its better to wait and see what they do after they enter the white house, but then again that is a scary prospect if she really believes she can see Russia from Alaska...and meant it literally. For some reason it remind's me of Bush's sense of geography. :D

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

Whenever I fly to India, I see the mountains of Iran and/or Central Asia (depending on the route th flight takes). It's breathtakingly beautiful, even from that high altitude. I really feel that by seeing those mountains and by taking in their beauty, I have a unique insight into why the Iranians act the way they do.

Hmmmm

I went to Uzbekistan. Twice! A few months after I got back from the second trip, I learned that their president is ranked in the top ten of worst dictators in the world. Could have fooled me.

I have since educated myself about their government.

The things I needed to know, I never could have seen while I was living there.

We must be grasping at straws to be embracing this person so quickly.

On the other hand, if we would actually go and speak with other countries and see what they were like, we would be less likely to blow them to #### and back.

but then again, Palin is for pre-emptive strikes so she probably will never get closer than where she is now.

And why would someone that is 110% against abortion be so willing to support a pre-emtive policy?

Can't she figure out that there are PREGNANT people every where?

Or do only OUR pregnant girls matter?

This is the kind of thinking I love to she hardliners try to explain......

Of course, if Sarah Palin believes Russia invaded unprovoked, she's as much of an idiot as those believing Georgia was completely innocent here.

This country is in deep #### if she ends up President.

She probably thinks that they are referring to Atlanta,Georgia.

I once saw Cuba from Key West, FLA.

So tell me, what is Fidel's fvcking problem? Surely you gained insight into his soul when you saw Cuba.

Fidel's problem is that he doesn't love America!

The 'country' must be remembering what it saw at the movies:
