I want to kill two birds with one stone with this thread so here it goes.

My Brother called and he's back from Iraq and in San Diego. He said they found a tumor on his thigh and they are going to operate before discharging him from the military. I wonder if this is the same leg they already took ligaments out of him from when a tank crushed him?

I am so glad my baby brother, Oz, has made it home safely from severing in the war in Iraq for the last 9 months.

In Remembrance of Today please, light a candle and have a moment of silence to say a prayer for peace.

Never forget. Peace and a big THANKS to your brother.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Amen to that, sis, and glad your brother is home safe. (F)

Never forget, and never forget the lessons of the past to teach us to be more wise and staunchly defending the rights we have left. The firefighters who went into those buildings did so as heroes, and while some were lucky enough to make it out with their lives, others were not, and for them I am thankful for their sacrifice and the lived they did save.

I saw incredible things that day.

Images I never thought I would ever see other than on a movie screen.

Incredible sadness, incredible fear.

Incredible acts of heroism and love.

I saw strangers reaching out to help, to comfort, to rescue.

May those who lost their lives that day rest in peace.

May those who lost loved ones that day be able to find peace.

The day the towers fell nearly everyone around the world knew. The shock wave went around the earth and NYC was ground zero. The course of history for man as we knew it changed forever. Everyone's lives were altered that day and every modern government shook to it's core. (F)
