A guy was sitting quietly reading his paper when his wife walked up behind him and whacked him on the head with a magazine.

'What was that for?' he asked.

'That was for the piece of paper in your pants pocket with the name Laura Lou written on it,' she replied.

'Two weeks ago when I went to the races, Laura Lou was the name of one of the horses I bet on,' he explained.

'Oh honey, I'm sorry,' she said. 'I should have known there was a good explanation.'

Three days later, he was watching a ballgame on TV when she walked up and hit him in the head again, this time with the iron skillet, which knocked him out cold.

When he came to, he asked, 'What the hell was that for?'

'Your horse called.'

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

That was a good one. Here is one for you.

A Catholic Priest, an Indian Doctor, a rich Chinese Businessman and a

Canadian Lawyer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of

golfers in front of them.

The Lawyer fumed, 'What's with those guys? We have been waiting for

fifteen minutes!'

The Indian Doctor chimed in, 'I've never seen such poor golf!'

The Chinese Businessman yelled out 'Get moving, time is money'

The Catholic Priest said, 'Here comes George the greens keeper, maybe he

can do something about this'

'Hello, George!', said the Catholic Priest, 'What's wrong with that group

ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?'

George the greens keeper replied, 'Yes. That's a group of blind fire

fighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last

year, so we always let them play for free anytime.'

The group fell silent for a moment.

The Catholic Priest said, 'That's so sad. I think I will say a special

prayer for them tonight.'

The Indian Doctor said, 'Good idea. I'm going to contact my

ophthalmologist colleague and see if there's anything he can do for

them.'

The Chinese Businessman replied, 'I think I'll donate $50,000 to the

fire-fighters in honor of these brave souls'

The Lawyer said, 'Why the hell don't they play at night?
