I'm not sure if the answer to this will be useful, but it'll satisfy my curiosity. :P

In reviews of AOS interviews in Detroit, the interviewer sounds either personable and friendly or...not. Either one interviewer behaves or is perceived differently, or there's more than one interviewer. If you had your AOS interview in Detroit, can you describe what your interviewer was like in both behaviour and appearance? We could then see how many interviewers we can identify.

Thanks. :)

It varies so much that I don't think there is an answer to that.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.

I'm sure there can't be that many interviewers in Detroit...we can probably identify some of them if some previous interviewees post the descriptions. I'm curious too - haven't got my interview date yet but will be going to Detroit when I finally get it.

I read about your situation in another thread, and I'm sorry about your difficulties. :(

Can you describe what your interviewer looked like? Maybe others will describe their interviewers too.

I described my interview experience in Detroit HERE. There are many interviewers at the office (more than 7). I noticed from when they walked in and out to get the appointments letters from the basket in front of the rooms. They called the names alternatively between citizenship and green card applicants. Please leave the camera and mobile in the car if you don't want to waste your time to walk back to the parking lot. The parking for the visitors is available there...

..Good luck..

Hi We had our interview in Detroit on June 4th 2008 ..my husband came here on a K-3 visa the end of Jan 2008 which i think was a pretty quick interview time wise. When we went in we waited about 1 hour to see the female interviewer, she was a bit on the bigger side and was all business. she was not very friendly, we showed her everything she asked for, showed her our pics of our 1st annivery in Gatlinburg Tenn, showed her my husbands DL, auth to work card, SSC, and what she was most interested in was that i had my IRS forms for 2007 as a dependant, which was fine, we were married in Apr 2007, I researched about filing him with an Itin# thur IRS and also my tax preparer and with our attorney...all the interviewer could say was " Are you sure you can use him as a dependant" I said yes, she said WOW you must have got quite a bit of money back then?(sarcastly) I said as a matter of fact NO I still have to pay my quarterlys since im self employed...??? She just asked if we had any other questions and if we wanted to put our anniversary pics in her folder so we did with a couple letters we had wrote on another, and she said we would hear back from them as soon as they looked things over???

That has been 3 months ago and still no news???

We gave her no reason to be suspicious she was just not very friendly at all, I cant imigine she would have a problem with a interracial couple as marriage immigration is full of all types of cultures.

Just my 2cents on Detroit interviews...
