I guess it is true what they say about being transferred to CSC, no Interview!

and today we rec'd the e-mail stating that his "welcome letter" was sent!!

SO happy, so very very happy!

Hello Guys!!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

We just came back from the interview!! and it went fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!!! it was soooo quick!

He did not ask for any family picture, Marriage certificate, joint tenancy, bank accounts, letters..... NADA!

I spent the whole night putting stuff together however he did not ask. He just asked for the birth certificate of our daughter and said I was approved! YAY my heart almost stopped at that time. I also asked if I can have a stamp I551 cuz we are going to Mauricius for our Annyversary in a 3 days, so he said noooo probs he said "just get out my office I got a lot to do, Congrats! you are officially a PR of the USA!!" he was really nice, but he told me that the stamp might delay me at the airport cuz some officer at the port of entry do not know what the heck is a stamp I551, so we are a lil scared about that.

Again, do no overstress your self, I have exams today and tomorrow, I was sooo stressed that I did not study so I'm bout to fail them midterms :'( but at least I'm happy that the battle is over until 2 years from now.

We were shocked to see couples stressed like crazy at the office, not talking to each other, shaking, impatiant... we were chillin and watching TV LOL

Also I thought they would ask evidence of emergency because I put a service request on the case so that I can get the interview ASAP and my reason was I was leaving the country for 3 months and that I don't want to miss the Interview, but like i said NADA.

Thank you soooo much for this info, malianqueen !! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! We will be going through the Detroit office next month and I was shaking like a leaf as I have no idea how things are done there. Im so glad you posted the experience. I hope we get the CO who interviewed you.

Update on us: My husband quit his job today and he said he is sticking around till mid April then going back home for a bit. So, he will be here to wait it out for the interview, which means he isnt going home March 15th as he had originally planned, then return in April. Talk about a head spin! Im just sorry he quit the job but HE thinks he can do better doing side jobs instead of working for a company who dosent believe in raises.

Just wondering...with all this AOS stuff, how does one know whether a case is outside processing times? The dates on the USCIS website are of no help, of course, and I hate to go through that annoying phone tree just to be spun in circles. The last letter we got from USCIS (after we were transferred to CSC) said to wait 180 days before contacting them, but 180 days from what??? With as many people who filed around the same time we did getting their GCs already, it *seems* like we're behind...but the whole system is so weird, who knows?

I was thinking of writing to our senator to see if this might speed things up...
