BTW, does anybody know if one can bring cell phones/laptops/etc.. to USCIS buildings, or do they make you leave behind any other stuff that is not paperwork during the security check

I don't think you can bring electronics inside. you might have to leave your belongings at the entrance... But as I didn t get my interview yet Im not a hundred percent sure...

Alf received his green card in the mail today!

We haven't received anything before this... I was expecting a seperate welcome letter or notice before the card. Ah well, this is MUCH better, and totally a surprise!

i dont know about laptops, but i know (at least at the san antonio uscis office), you can only bring cell phones in if they dont have cameras on them. good luck!

But I think it is better to print your pictures.

I agree, i guess its better to print your pictures. You can just choose some of the pictures that you can bring for the interview. As for our case, the IO didnt even ask for one. But just bring still some of it or if you want you can bring all. But i think its better to have it printed rather than showing to the IO the laptop, you will never know he might get annoyed. Just a thought.
