I received the interview letter in the mail yesterday, which was a surprise since I don't expect it for at least another 2 weeks or a month.

Anyways, my interview date is going to be February 2, 2009.

That sucks that some of us are still waiting for our EADs and APs. My best wishes go out to you all, hope everyone gets theirs soon!

Congratulations trawal, that's great news. It's good to see interviews are still coming along too. Hang in there AlHayatZween and everyone else, it can't be far away now surely.

I went to renew my driver license this morning, waited 1 hour and then was told to come back in 5 business days because my EAD isn't in the system yet. I was so close....

Hi Everyone,

My wife informed me last night that she already received the AP yesterday.

Hang in there people, they have their quirks. As some of you may know, my wife lives in LA and me in San Francisco. She is stuck there because of her H1B. I placed in the I-485 form that our servicing center will be San Francisco because we intend to live here. Lo and behold, we get interviewed in LA. Oh well, it doesnt really matter to me anyway since im there every weekend. She cant transfer up here yet because the job market sucks. Hopefully I'll get a call this week for a prospective employer in LA so we can be together.

Oh yeah, no updates on the website on my end except the I-765.

Question concerning the AP..... at the bottom is my husband's pic, and above that is a Robert Cowan's signature. Is this normal? One would think my husband's signature should be there. Also, and maybe because his name is so long, they left out the 'D' when spelling his second middle name. Should we be alarmed? First, first middle, and last name is spelled correctly.

I believe it's just the people in pink who are getting interviews because their paperwork has been forwarded on to their local office (where the interview will be held). I may need to be corrected on this but I think Envy changes them to pink once they say that they have received their interview letter.

As for the AP, that's perfectly normal to have that other signature there (and to have a blank box on the bottom right hand side) so don't worry about that. As for the name though, I'm not sure. Is the D the start of his name? Personally I'd say the fact that his name is long means that no one will even notice but maybe you should give our USCIS friends a call to make sure.

Hmmmmm... is his middle name on his passport?

i would say call and check it out, just because DHS and USCIS are so unreliable, when your habeeb is coming back into the country, he might get the one immigration officer who actually pays attention to stuff.

Good question, I'm not sure. I kinda thought that most people get interviewed. My case went there, and I got an email about 10 days ago saying it was now pending standard processing. I know it went there to clear the back log at MSC, which should mean it's going to get processed faster than if it had stayed there, but standard processing doesn't exactly sound speedy.
