Concerning G325a

Just in case you missed this memorandum, back in 2005;

The memorandum states that if your beneficary lives abroad, it is not necessary for them to sign the G-325a form and provide a passport style photo. That the signature would be captured before the issuance of the visa, most likely at the consulate during the interview process.

So, for those of you who do not have a signed g-325a form from your fiance, and are freaking out about it, print this memorandum and paperclip it to your fiance(e)'s g-325a.

Now, if a newer memorandum has been released since then, that contradict everything this memorandum says, ignore everything I have said.

Goes against all guides and recent "procdures" people do. I'd be afraid ALL the USCIS personnel got that memo and absorped it.

Would make things a LOT easier for some peeps. USCIS normally doesn't do that.

Interesting. I looked to see if there is an update on the memo, but found none. I spent time and money getting signatures that may not have been needed.

I've read this memo and mentioned it frequently before but didn't bookmark it. Nevertheless, USCIS has a lot of new adjudicators I wouldn't trust to know about the memo or follow it. IMO, faxing would be a better option than no signature. I also like the sticky label signatures we used for all my wife's signatures used in petition submission.

I just took all the forms with me to the Philippines and we had a form filling party one afternoon there so I had all her signatures and just mades sure I had everything checked and rechecked and checked again before I mailed everything off, Then I still worry I may have missed something but I figured at some point you just have to send it off and see what happnes. lol. I fill out forms at work and review other peoples paperwork but no matter what when you send off something like this you worry about the dot on every i and cross of every t and will waiting you always wonder what you missed, I still go back through the copies I kept of everything to look every now and then to see if I missed something, just a part of waiting.
