Is this bad? What does this mean exactly? Just got this update through the USCIS website.

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD

On September 3, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your mailing address.

I-129F: Currently @ CSC

* Dec 7th, 2007 - I-129f Recieved at Chicago Lockbox

* Feb 14th, 2008 - Recieved NOA1

* Feb 19th, 2008 - Touched

* Feb 20th, 2008 - Touched

* May 6th, 2008 - Recieved NOA2

* Jun 4th, 2008 - NVC Forwarded to Embassy

I-130: Currently @ Californica Service Center

* Dec 7th, 2007 - I-130 Recieved at Chicago Lockbox

* Feb 6th, 2008 - Check cashed for I-130

* Feb 9th, 2008 - Recieved NOA1

It means you submission was missing something critical. When you receive the actual notice, you'll know what was missing and how to respond.

You will receive a letter in the mail telling you exactly what you need to submit, or re-submit. We had to send another copy of the medical report because the doctor used the old form and didn't have the correct page for immunizations. It could be anything. Don't worry......yet.

Often they will send a request for something you already sent (for whatever reason). It happened to us a couple times. If that turns out to be the case, just send them another copy of whatever it is...

01/28/2010 - Received NOA, GC extended for 1 year

02/25/2010 - Biometrics taken

04/23/2010 - Conditions lifted! :)

05/01/2010 - Ten-year GC received...on hubby's birthday! Yay!

It also happened to me ... they asked for a W-2s that , I`m 100% sure, we have already sent them with all documents. But oh well, :rolleyes: I`m glad that`s all they asked for ... :thumbs: Hope I won`t see any more of RFE letters! :dance:

AOS PROCESS

06/11/08: AOS/EAD/I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

06/17/08: Package delivered in Chicago

06/18/08: Check cashed

06/21/08: Rec'd NOA's (Receipt notice date: 06/17/08)

07/01/08: Rec'd Biometrics appoinment letter

07/15/08: Biometrics appoinment @ 2:00 PM-Completed

08/27/08: RFE letter (I-485)

09/08/08: sending RFE letter with missing documents back to USCIS

09/11/08: letter delivered

10/27/08 Infopass appointment for my EAD (should receive it in 2-3 weeks... we will see)

10/31/08 EAD card production has been ordered!!! (I-765 finally online)

10/03/08 received EAD card in mail

11/07/08 IL in mail

12/09/08 Interview ; approved!

12/15/08 Card production ordered (online update)

12/24/08 GC in mail!

03/31/2011 10 year GC recieved in mail

11/28/2012 N-400 sent out

12/06/12 text message and e-mail informing that case has been received

12/08/12 check has been cashed

12/08/12 touched/online update - biometrics letter sent

12/10/12 NOA received

12/11/12 Biometrics date letter received (scheduled for 12/20/12)

12/20/12 Biometrics

12/26/12 In line for the Interview

01/07/13 E-mail stating Interview has been scheduled

01/11/13 Received IL (date 02/14/13)

02/14/13 Interview (passed :) )
