Hi guys,

Maybe I'm just not looking int he right places, but will we be notified when our petition leaves VSC and goes to NVC, or should I call to check up on it next week? I know it usually takes a couples days anyway, so I can call when I'm down in the states next week.

Also, is it normal to get touches the days after the NOA2? I'm thinking it's them getting ready to mail it?

Thanks :)

<3 Jen

That's what I think too. It happened that way for us. NOA2 hardcopy is the only "notification" of finishing up at VSC, but it doesn't give a date it will go to NVC.

You have to call NVC and find out when it arrived and when it left. Talk to a person. K1s are not in the automated system that the answering machine thing refers to. You can't enter your EAC number and get any info.

We were approved 8/29 and I called the NVC automated line today and put in our EAC number. The system said we were not in the system, call back in two weeks.

I think others say that the system is very slow to be updated. I sent a email request after the call. One poster here stated they had a return email in three days with their NVC number.

That is good enough for me.

K1s are not entered into the automated system. You need to talk to someone to see if your petition has arrived at NVC.

You can either call NVC or wait for them to send you a letter in the mail.
