I looked at the list and the graph and only 35% of the Sept cases have been approved...we still have some hope...Abt 60% of the august cases have been approved. I am just getting anxious to get approved...

Congratulations to the new approvals and the touches. Surely the touches will be an approval within a day or an RFE - even if it is an RFE, if you respond quickly, you should be approved within a week from what I have seen on other peoples cases. Best of luck for new approvals coming soon.

Is the stress of waiting to get your visa approved causing your SO to have second thoughts?

I hope you are just asking a question and not in this condition. If so, I am really sorry to hear it.

I think everyone can probably attest that long distance relationships are tough. And I think the stress moves from place to place at times. For example, my fiancee was probably the stressed one when I was filing becuase everything was on me to do. Now everything is on her and it seems to me she is not moving fast enough and I am worried about all the problems we need to overcome. If I sometimes complain, she gets upset becuase she really is moving fast and working hard, but I dont understand the process in the other countries or how long it takes.

She was an angel compared to me, so I have to remember that and try to support her, but I feel helpless now to get things done.

Anyway, at times, the thought of all the problems and issues has made me have those thoughts (a little), but just when I was mad and ultimately, I really love her, so I would never give up. but I have been maybe really fortunate becasue I have been able to see her every 6-8 weeks. Seems like forever, but compared to people waiting months and months or even over a year, I am really fortunate. It seems things get roughest for me when I havent seen her in a long time. Maybe if you could make a visit it would help things. it seems it shouldnt be so bad to get in from Canada like it is from other countires. I drive over there fairly often and just tell them it is a business trip, or whatever and never get hassled.

haha...I wish! The embassy in Mexico doesn't actually do set appointments for K1 visas. They send out an open invitation letter with packet 3 and then you can go anytime you want. They should have our petition by now, but they moved locations back in November and apparently that has slowed things down immensely. Unfortunately, there aren't too many petitioners for Mexico with similar timelines that I can compare with but, for example, a couple of people who got their NOA2's the beginning of October didn't get their invitation letters/packet 3 until just this week (3 months later)! UGH!! We are planning our wedding date for April 18 so I am just praying he gets the invite by late March at the latest. Have you made any progress on interviews for Grace and her daughter? It sounds like you've got alot of hoops to jump through...

Yeah I'm in the over a year boat. Well in two days it'll be a year since I last left to go see him in India But I'm trying not to focus on the sadness but instead focus on the fact that he could be here in less than 6 months if all goes well with the approval etc. I feel that we have been through so much this past year but if we can get through this than we can get through anything and that makes our relationship stronger.

I read somewhere on that report that of the 6+ million cases they receive every year, 100,000 have data entry errors that cause them to be lost or misfiled etc.....That's 1.67% lovely.

Have you made any progress on interviews for Grace and her daughter? It sounds like you've got alot of hoops to jump through...

If it werent for bad news, I wouldnt get ANY news. Grace is still in the Philippines (we went together on the 26th, supposed to return on the 4th). She had some other papers to take of, so the office she needed to go to was only going to be open one day while we where there, but apparently the government then declared that day a holiday and it was closed, so she needed to stay until this week. Now, because we are trying to get her daughter a Japan visa, she needs to stay until next week. I assume her Packet 3 will probably be sitting in her mailbox in Japan when she gets there (collecting dust). Then still need police clearance in Japan & I read they want the letter from the embassy to process it, so it hasnt been processed yet - probably another 3-4 weeks. Meanwhile, she actually needs to go back to philippines again for some other business towards the end of the month, but hopefully, if her daughter gets the Japan visa, she can go back to Japan with her and do the medical and interview together, then come here directly. I would have her just stay in the Philippines, but I need her to go back to get the police clearance. But I got a lot of flights to pay for back & forth to Japan & here + expediting visa and other issues. I need to win the lottery - but I guess you gotta buy a ticket to win. too bad I cant affort the ticket. but with my current luck, somehow I would end up just oweing them more money beyond the price of the lottery ticket. I heard you need to apply for the police clearance (especially in Japan) in person - does anyone know if it is possible to not apply in person?
