USCIS PROCESSING TIMES

The point is that if you are frustrated and angry after a month or two, you're going to be impossible in another 4 or 5 months. So either you adjust your expecations so that you can live with the process, or you DECIDE to be miserable for the 6+ months that this process takes. And it is a choice. So if you are choosing to be frustrated and irritated now, I can choose to feel that your frustration and irritation is more about a lack of maturity than it is about USCIS' processing dates.

Adults set expectations and have patience. While you may miss your loved one, you entered into a situation knowing that it would take time to be reunited. You made this choice, nobody made it for you. So, you have to learn to make peace with what you are experiencing.

I understand what you are saying MsZ. I certainly don't assume to be in the same position as you. But we are all frustrated with this process, regardless of when we filed. I don't think that makes anyone immature.

as i mentioned in my other post:

these dates really are a joke...i dont really buy any of it...these dates are just a cushion for USCIS employees just so when someone calls yelling at them they have something to back themselves up....why else would u think that the dates are either one month or fifteen days backward or forward every single time...its very clear that they just come up with these dates speculating by either one full month or half a month....folks, please dont bother urself with these dates...they will only drive u crazy.

Oh my god :crying: you are right cmnb, I won't bother myself anymore with those dates, I just wake up everyday to USCIS site, for almost 3 months (I'm in Spain with my husband and not working) now I'm going back to the states and I will be working and try to be busy other way i will be crazy :bonk:

I think it is reasonable to expect slow processing times. I do not think it is reasonable to expect the processing dates to go backwards. That's just crazy!

I think as my personal view that people who have waited long are judging the people who just filed at CSC in a wrong manner. We are all humans and we have emotions that affects us. This process is more emotional than rational. The rationality does say that people should have been gone through as FIFO in ideal sytem but on the other side al those CSC filers who got approved luckily in a month has given a hope to filers who filed after them would be the same case.

I am precisely talking about my experience, this is the time when we just detached from our significant other and start the process with heavy heart of dealing to live for next few months and suddenly we found our process will be going to delay. When these people such as me raised concern in the way that VSC should be working in the right way rather than slowing down CSC than we were accused of being impatient and unreasonable.

I would personally prefer my case to be at the last once the whole backlog is cleared, its not as easy as it is said but I would deal with it. Again its a rollercoaster ride sometime we are high in happiness and sometime we are low in sadness. We should try to support each other in a right manner than being selfish with our own personal issue.

Vermont must be working on something else or they wouldn't be shuffling IR1/CR1s (I-130s) to California. So I don't think we can accuse them of not working properly. Their priorities are not our priorities. This certainly shouldn't be news to anyone.

Fact is however, USCIS is a combination of offices. It is not Vermont versus California.

"but on the other side al those CSC filers who got approved luckily in a month has given a hope to filers who filed after them would be the same case. "

Hope is not the same thing as having a reasonable expectation. If you've looked at timelines over a longer period, you can see that overall, it will take 6 or more months to get through the process. In worst cases, it can take a year or more. So while you hoped for one thing, reality dictated another. You can be disappointed because that's a reasonable feeling. But to be angry, that is not reasonable. Nobody did anything to you personally.

USCIS is unprepared, does little to think ahead or plan ahead, and is well behind the times in terms of automation. Those are the facts. And because those are the facts, you have to build into your expectations that things will not be done efficiently or sensibly. It is frustrating to be sure. And if it were a perfect world, we'd all fly through. But it is not a perfect world.

If you've been dicked around by USCIS for 8 or 10 or 12 or 15 or more months, I'll be more sympathetic. But right now, none of us have any idea what will happen to either speed the process or slow it down. All of your upset right now may be for naught if they do something else to increase throughput or if VSC is retasked.

i disagree, I think everyone should get in line and wait their turn. forget about vsc and csc. this is the USCIS. what next? do we break this down to the particular person in their cubicless performing the work. whatever is going to happen, will happen. crying about who's next is just stupid !!!

Sincce we can not dictate were our files are sent wither it be VSC or CSC they should still do FIFO period. I have been waiting like others and still am. However, I will wait my turn because I have no choice. It is none of our faults here what is happening. We should be here to support and help each other with the process. We all need help with paperwork and support. So, with that said we all need to be postive and supportive of each other. It is hard on all of us and very frustrating.
