My husband got his immigrant visa on august 26 . here's his interview experience at Mumbai , India.

He had his interview scheduled for 7:30 in the morning. So he went to the VFS lounge at 7:00, 15 min later their shuttle took everybody to the consulate. then there was security check. Then they were lined for fingerprint. after that they sat there in waiting area. they were calling applicants by their name for document verification. there was a lady who asked questions while she was verifying documents .like what is your wife name?whether she works or not? where does she works? what she does?when did u get married? what is your father-in-law name? this all was done by around 8 :30 a.m. Then they had to wait for final interview. He sat there for about 2 hours . he said there was just one window for the immigrant visa applicant at that time . then they opened a new window for immigrant visa at around 11:00 a.m. and he was first to called by them to the new window. there was two officer one lady and one man. they looked like Indian . they took the interview. asked questions like how did u met each other before marriage? when did u get married? when did she went back after marriage? did u go for honey moon ? where did u go?( asked for pictures my husband showed pictures to them there was about 60 pictures he flipped them one by one. who is this picture ? how many times she visited you after marriage ? where does she live? asked questions about his occupation? how did your wife get visa for u.s.a? They did not ask any emails ,marriage album or any other evidence. Then they told him that his visa will be mailed with in two days. but then my husband asked them if he can collect his visa from VFS in the evening ? then the officer said that u can try to collect your passport at vfs around 5:00 p.m. but didn't guarantee that.
