When doing my cover letter and saying the reason I'm applying for AOS...should I put:

Immediate Relative (Spouse) Family Based Adjustment of Status Application

or

Based on admission as the fiancé of a U.S. citizen and subsequent marriage to that citizen within 90 days of entry.

I entered on a K1 but am now Nick's wife.....

I've seen both used so I just want to know what's the correct one to put on the cover letter.

Thanks guys, we are filing this week! :)

You got your marriage license back! Yay!

We are filing tomorrow (the passport style photos are the only thing we still need and he is going for those as we speak...or, well, you know, type, I guess). I think either one makes sense. We used the first, following the example I saw on here, but the second one is more specific, so maybe that is better. I think either will be fine, though.

I would say the latter... as the former would indicate the possibility of adjustment based on an I-130. Not really sure it make a difference

YMMV

We need a reason why we are filing? I thought the forms are pretty self-explanatory, part II asks you why are you adjusting status. We didn't include a reason, just listed all the applications enclosed and under each one, the supporting documents we included.

My wife even forgot to sign it and it was accepted. I don't think anybody looks at the coversheet.
