Congrats Rajaa!!!!!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

It is 9:20 pm here in Tokyo.

I will be taking off to my POE / ORD - Chicago O'Hare in 20 hours.

Ling Ling had copied everything we turned in and put in an envelope,

and the Mysterious Brown Envelope looks and weights almost the same.

I will take the copy just in case of something baaaad.

I need to make sure I don't give them Ling Ling version at customs. :-P

I've flown to ORD so many times but this time is different.

excited and nervous.

I will write and post my story after I finally get home with CR-1 visa.

Thank You All for your support. :jest:

safe travels!!!! POE should be a breeze

Well, Master Rajaa:

Congratulation (warm one) to you and your husband...

We are happy that you are done. His passport should come along with that large envelope. In that large envelop there is nothing mysterious but only your file. Whatever embassy had on your file comes back to the US so they can file it here and process the GC.

Depends on the country the process will take shorter or longer, in our case was the same day in some cases is 3-4 weeks so don't worry as it may come earlier.

So at least you can rest a little better now and later one when you got the details post his experience for interview here and there.

Peace

Here is the Embassy review i submitted:

Consulate Review: Madrid, Spain

Review Topic: IR1/CR1 Visa

Event Description

Review Date : December 10, 2008

Embassy Review : My husband arrived 40 min early, there was no line. He went to the first window and they found his file from the NVC and asked him for his police certificate from madrid. He said that wasn't required (per the appointment letter) she had to research it and it was agreed that it wasn't necessary. He did his fingerprints and told to take a seat he waited about 20 min and was called for his interview.

The questions were: Who is (wife's name)? Why are you in Spain? Why (wife's name)? Where did you meet her? Did you know other women before? Why did you invite her? Do you know her kids? Will you have problems with the kids?

As the consular was asking questions my husband was showing him the pictures of us and the emails. The consular happened to find an email where my husband and I had a disagreement with my kids mentioned. The consular pointed it out to my husband he said "it wasn't the kids but her ex husband." He seemed ok with that.

Then he said well your visa is approved you have 6 months to go to your wife. you will leave us your passport and you will get a letter in 1-2 weeks and told him not to open it ???? that part seems strange to me... need to investigate futher.

My husband said it was easy and nice....

Rating : Very Good

One thing bothers me..... the consular kept my book of emails i had bound...:(
