Nimche...I see the embassy received your package.

I think you should treat yourself to something special tonight, go wild, abandon all you know that is proper.

Yes, that's right, I'm suggesting you have some FIZZY WATER today...you deserve it.

Note - We need to update the shortcuts...Ninjarocket made a good reason why emailing the DS-3032 is not a good idea.

1) some VJ members find that their emails get lost because they don't pass the NVC spam filters

2) it takes NVC 2 weeks to read emails because they have relatively low priority

it was suggested to me to use Gmail. I emailed the ds3023 first time didn't get a Automated message emailed again the next day recieved one immediatly back "recieved" therefore my suggestion would be IF you email it to use an email that is known to get through and if after a few min you do not get an Automated response email back to do it again.

just a suggestion.

Nimche.. that is a great idea just not sure how to do that. The consulate in Madrid has no email contact information but i am sure i can call and ask them? What could it hurt and save maybe 11 days.

I couldn't find it either. I am sure they have one but not sure how often they use this system. You should update the wiki if you got the email. On look at their website and they are talking about fraud emails but nothing about theyir own email for IV applicant.

i went to the national visa center page

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/in...nfo_3734.html#C

and found they make the interview appointments.....so couldn't that mean i can call them when/if "case complete" happens and they can tell me when the appointment is made? instead of waiting for the letter (packet 3)??

I recall you changed your consulate...but I don't recall where to...let's presume it's to Morocco.

So...there's 2 embassies in Morocco, Rabat and Casablanca (I really wanna visit Casablanca).

Visas are handled at Casablanca. Casablanca is on the list you referred to....so it's an "Appointment Post".

So...NVC schedules your appointment. HOWEVER, I do understand that you can contact the DoS about your case...to the extent

that they can VIEW the same information as NVC, but they can't act on anything...only NVC can.

As long as you don't get an RFE, I don't see any reason you wouldn't get an interview in November.

Funny thing with our case is...even if we had everything for the IV and AOS ready to go when the fee bills were paid,

(meaning we "could" have been out of NVC 22 days from NOA2) we could've picked any Monday in October for the interview...but due to wifEy's schedule,

she wouldn't have been able to interview any sooner than Oct. 27th....and because they're renovating during the last week of October, they only took

a handful of interviews for Oct. 27th....so we'd STILL have an interview date no sooner than Nov. 4th

All this time I thought I was losing time or we were slowing things down...we were actually right on schedule.

Hi Nimche,

First off congrats on your case completion. I see your case has been already forwarded to Naples, is that a standard procedure? I thought case gets forwarded to any Embassy after NVC schedules an interview date.

Good Morning!!

Nimche, I did not ask them to send the packets by email! I do not know if they have one email! In Spain they only give you information three days per week and in a specific phone!

Good luck!

Rajja_Reda, Maybe you can ask for email, but you can not save any day, because the packet 3 is only information about documentation and the medical appointment!

And the Packet 4 is the letter with the interview appointment!

You do not have to do anything with the packets, Your husband has to go with the packet 3 and 4 to the medical appointment, and he has to arrive to the Embassy with the letter (packet4).

You can not come in the Embassy without the letter, only Americans can come in without appointment!

You can try to obtain the packets by email, but If your husband call to the Embassy, the lady is very kind, and useful! When I called the first time, My Case is not in the Embassy, and She checked (I do not ask her for check, but she did it). The Second time, she told me the interview appointment. When your case arrived to the Embassy, call!!! (It is not easy to speak with the lady but you have to try several times)

The Embassy in Madrid is not very busy, I hope that it is the same in Italy!

When I had my interview, there were only 20 people, and the Embassy have capacity for 90 people.

Good luck!

Do not worry!!!

I have a question, I am planning to go to USA in October, but My husband has a trip to Canada in November, and I like to go with him. My question is, Can I travel to Canada from USA and Come back without the Green Card only with the Passport??

Thank youuu!!!!

Thanks for the Congrats...

Well, I don't understand what is the standard procedure anyway. My case was expedited and that is why NVC won't schedule an interview for me but the interview comes directly from the embassy.

I am yet to figuer this out since I couldn't talk to Visa section in embassy the day they received my package but tomorrow morning I willl give it a try + Naples accepts emails so I will email them as well.

We'll see!!

I don't remember if you are a CR1 or IR1 but either way, you should have somthing in your passport like visa and it should be multiple entries. I am sure at the POE they will stamp your GC in your passport and you should ask them overhtere when you come to US. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to travel.

Lets see what others have to say.
