So what exactly does this statement mean? Is this for only the USCIS? What about when the embassy requests a name check after the interview? Is this part of their statement that name checks pending over 6 months have been eliminated? What about us that have been waiting for over 6 months in AP? We are still in AP after 8 months and we were told it was for "name check," so I am confused.

clearly when the embassy askes for name check they dont check it within the embassy ,they must sent ur case for name check with DOS ,did u happen to call DOS and find out if ur name with them under AP?

i m a girl @ Divorce..=)

i call DOS every Thursday. visa was printed 2/26. My congressman office had been v v helpful.. and on 2/24 the congressman did call me saying that they demanded an expedite from embassy and embassy said they will look into it right away and will do whatever they could.

then i called DOS that week they said they are currently working on ur case u will hear something soon. they also contacted Congressman and said they are currently working on our case.

when i called in this thursday the lady said ur fiance's visa was printed 2/26 .. he will hear somethin' from embassy soon.

called in again on Fri to confirm.. the guy said it's in AP i said WHAAAT but the lady b4 said visa printed. he said yes visa is printed but it will remain in AP till visa issued. and he said there is a note here saying expired docs needed.

again, Embassy hasn't contacted us at all yet we hope they do soon. I was told that they print the visa b4 getting the passport so there i sno issue w/expiration of name checks. visa is printed prior and then copied /embossed on the passport.

Yesterday is history, Tomorrow's a mystery. Today is a gift; that'swhy they call it "the present".
