LOL...those are awesome! And defenders of Fox News refuse to admit the station's political agenda, even after several former people who worked for the station admitted that Roger Ailes directed them to a right wing POV.

LOL. FOX is the only right wing network we have. What? You want all networks to be left leaning? Geez.... throw us a bone. Forget about your plot.

dontcha know they gotta complain about something.

Really. They want all media outlets singing their tune.... weak.

Nope. This is a good explanation of journalistic neutrality:

The assertion of neutrality is central to the credibility of U.S. journalists, who say, "Trust us, we don't take sides." Whether one believes journalists live up to that standard - or that it's possible at all - it is the bedrock on which reporters build their claim to special status.

Except, it seems, in time of war. In those situations, many U.S. journalists do not hesitate to say they are on the American side. They are quick to say that patriotism won't stop them for reporting critically about the United States and its war effort, and the degree to which they make good on that varies widely.

But the point remains: One can't be neutral and aligned with one side at the same time.

Taking journalistic neutrality seriously doesn't mean a simplistic he said/she said balancing of claims. It means subjecting the claims of all sides to the same critical scrutiny.

Just out of curiosity, do you think Kieth Olbermann meets these definitions? Which one of those clips shown at the beginning has nothing but one right wing guy talking to another right wing guy? Watch the countdown and you will definitely see the opposite.

You could at least hold them to higher standards of journalism. Or is FUD the only type of journalism its audience understands?

I like to view many sources of news (tv, internet, radio, print) and come to my own conclusion. And I'm not walking around thinking CNN is right down the middle.

Well, since every controlled study that has attempted to demonstrate the "liberal bias" in the media has failed to demonstrate it, a person who looks for good evidence and draws their own conclusion would have to conclude that the "liberal media" is a myth, very loudly promoted by Fox News.

Do you realize that you are doing exactly what Fox does? You claim to be fair and balanced while mouthing the myths of the right. I just hope that you realize that when you repeat these myths, we really do recognize the "I get information from a variety of sources and and make a fair and balanced assessment that just happens to always agree with the right wing mythology" line of Fox.

You're perfectly free to keep spouting it but hopefully you realize that the gig is up and everyone has caught on to the game.

No liberal media bias.... eh? Says mainstream media!!!

Shouldn't you be watching 'An Inconvenient Truth' for the 30th time? Try the Kool-Aid. It's yummmy and only costs 5 carbon credits. ;)

The conservative solution to everything is the free market? Though I've never heard of a radicalistic economy.

Doesn't it seem more likely that a Iran centered more around Capitalism would be friendlier to the US?

Editorial journalism is different, which is what both Keith Olbermann and O'Reilly are doing. I personally can't stand watching either one of them, just as most editorials in newspapers. There are some well written pieces, but most of it seem like an exercise of narcism by the journalist. It becomes too much about them than the argument they are trying to make.

I think Bill Moyers, Charlie Rose, and the late Tim Russert were all very good with keeping their opinion and their persona out of the show and instead focusing on the guests they interview. Those are the kinds of TV journalist I have great admiration and respect for.

That image isn't about right or left wing as it is biased reporting, contrary to "fair and balanced". I think turning it into "right versus left" is to miss the point of the topic. ;)

Okay, what exactly is the story biased towards? Captialism?

At least China doesn't have a liberal or conservative media bias. ;)

Its better that way. Sometimes those pesky opposing view points are just downright annoying.
