My bank has giving me an account verification letter also notary’s by an officer of the bank. In addtion, I Have a statement with current balance; date account was open and average balance for the past one year. They did not give me a detail statement for each month

my question is does this sound like is good ??

Pay stubs should I be giving them copies for the past year or like maybe the last five or six. I do have all this copies for the past year I think that may be too much paper work

Hi there,

My fiance did the same as you, got his I-134 notarized, bank statement, and his balance for the past year. The average balance is just a "Short cut" to show your montly statements, and was told the monthly statements was more than enough (granted I am from Canada and dont know if your country is more strict). Also, my fiance only gave me three of his most recent paystubs. Hope I helped

My bank gave me the exact same info last week. They told me they could not provide me with the total amount deposited last year but assured me it should be fine. They suggested my monthly statements for the total deposited for the year.

Can't help you with the pay stub question as I am self employed, but I would guess 5 or 6 should be fine.

When I got my bank letter, they put the total deposits in the last year. I didn't get an "average balance". I also sent my last 3 pay stubs. It should tell you what you need on the I-134 instructions. Don't forget the employer letter.

Thanks people for the fast response / yes i have the employer letter

the are able give a detail statement.They want to charge $5 dollars for each so 5-12 = $60

I don't feel like spending an extra 60 bucks for this

what bank do you use?

You do n't need a bank statement if you have not declared any savings. If you have letter from employer and the last 3 or so payslips to support proof of income that is all you need.

What I sent with the notorized I-134:

1. Signed Employment Letter (Free)

2. Signed statement from the bank stating I had 1 checking and 2 savings account, how long I have had the accounts, total deposits for the last 12 months, and the current balance in each account. (Free and I told them how I wanted it worded)

3. Last three years tax transcripts (free from the IRS)

Thats it. Just make sure you have 1 or two extra ORIGINALS in case you need them.

You do n't need a bank statement if you have not declared any savings. If you have letter from employer and the last 3 or so payslips to support proof of income that is all you need.

You may want to be careful with not having a bank statement, they want to see your total amount for the year, not just in your savings, I was asked for my husband's bank statement at the interview....better to be safe than sorry...

I had a reply from the embassy, in writing, that a bank statement is not needed.

My bank gave me a letter stating:

date account was opened

how often I make deposits(payroll bi-weekly)

that my account is in good standing

I think they just want to see that you haven't deposited a large sum of money just for the interview............well that is just my opinion-I could be wrong, certainly wouldn't be the first time

I did not give them a bank statement or any other asset statements with the I134 or with the I864 (for AOS) because I met the 125% poverty test easily with JUST my income. (I just gave them a statement from my employer.) So, I would suggest - don't worry about it unless you do not meet the 125% test, then you need to line up everything to meet the test and maybe a cosponsor also. Good Luck
