august 2004 I-129 filed (neb)

DEC 2004 Approved

interview: SEOUL

MArch 21st , 2005AR for special security clearance,washington

May 18th tranfer case from Seoul to Islammabad

June 21st security clearance done

June 28th online at the embassy in Islamabad

waiting for paper transfer and the good word

OCTOBER 14TH 2005 Interview Number 2: ISLAMABAD, PK

AR number 2 sent to DOS per Islamabad (2 cable request)

Nov 22 okd updated financial and etc proof accepted / embassy waiting for security cables

dec 20th one cable back waiting on 2nd

Jan 17th.. good word recieved. SECURITY CHECKS ALL CLEAR!!! DOS says embassy to contact him within two weeks!!!!!!

FEBRUARY 10th, 2006 VISA RECIEVED!!! They called him In via phone, stamped his passort and sent him on his way!!!

FEB 28th WELCOME HOME>>>POE CHICAGO did not even look at xray, few questions. one hour wait at Poe

march 10th marriage (nikkah at the islamic center)

aug 2006 AOS interview, cond 2 yr GC arrived september

June 2008 applied for removal of conditions on permant residency aka awaiting for 10 yr greencard

Dec 2008 10yr green card approved, no interview.

3/12/07 - USPS confirms delivery

3/13/07 - Check clears bank

3/21/07 - Reciept for BioMetrics Fee

call nana Ida up, tell her you are Farshid (her favorite step son) the wife needs operation and kids need braces, and you miss the farm :yes: that will be good for 10gs

me heavens i just got the house paid off 5 years ago, not ready to refinance. like living rent free

Norhtwest has good packages to Honolulu(waikiki) 800 dollars for 9 days hotel and air (been there 5 times its good time :thumbs: )

Early summer, Inshallah, taking Colorado route to Vegas(everyone want to see Vegas blah), then southern route back(grand canyon) new mexico. that trip will be enough to scare a good paksitani boy :D yee haw :dance:

i'm going to pakistan in......inshallah....hmm, 8 days. sh!t, 8 days, i need to start getting ready - pack, clean, etc....

wife is already there, will be gone for..3 or so weeks!

I know and Omid thinks I am saint with patience I guess. LOL I have emailed them twice and call DOS every week. Email from them was your 45 days not up and on reviews (canned response). DOS says they have not posted anything since Ishteaq interviewed in December. I am going to email them again this weekend. I got the holidays off the web and they will have 9, 10 and 20th off this month. I am praying that they will get the backlogs finished or do something. It is so unfair on how they are dragging this out.

In my eyes Mary, just by being as pleasant and supportive as you are despite going through something this trying and difficult - and something that would would wear away at the patience of the most patient, you're a wonderful person :innocent:

Me on the other hand, not always so pleasant to be around when my impatience kicks in and this stuff gets me down - I owe some family and friends around me some nice dinners or something when all of this is over insha'Allah - :blush:

-- it's a good morning so far, traffic wasn't too bad, and :luv: I got a whole 40 minute, clear connection to Afghanistan last night (w/ only ONE interruption - my first card ran out)

What part of pakistan you going to jungle I will be in Islamabad for 12 days as well. We might even pass one another lol..... never know!!! :thumbs: May god bless you on your trip and I will pray for you.

Omid glad you were able to talk on the phone. Always makes your day when you can have nice conversation without all the hangups, static and such. Hope the lines stay working for you too. I know I talked to Ishteaq on the phone today and I was in heaven. I am praying the lines are fixed in Pakistan now too.

Shelia wow under two weeks and you will be leaving on a jet plane to see your hubby. I am so excited for you and hope you have your packing list started. LOL I know I packed early and suitcase was ready except for daily things like deo, toothbrush, etc.

Shon where are you today? I have been busy and guy picked up the PC and he thinks it is motherboard or processor. YUCK. Will know something firm in day or two. I am praying something simple and hope to be back in business off JPs pc.

08/11/04 - I-130 approved online!

08/16/04 - received NOA2 in mail

NVC:

08/20/04 - NVC receives case

09/03/04 - NVC enters case into computer - # assigned

12/07/04 - NVC reviewed and completed case!

12/20/04 - Case forwarded to embassy FINALLY!

Islamabad Embassy:

01/05/04 - Embassy sends out Packet 3.5 to husband

01/28/04 - Husband FINALLY receives Packet 3.5

02/23/04 - Packet 3.5 mailed back to embassy

03/04/05 - Embassy writes checklist requesting joint sponsor

04/01/05 - Embassy sends out appt letter packet

04/07/05 - Husband receives call from courier for packet arrival

AR:

05/23/05 - Husband's Interview at embassy; put on AR

07/27/05 - FINALLY GOT VISA!!! (after 2 months on AR)

took the passport for about 3 hours

stamped it with a July 7 deadline

im going now to pinch myself :dance:

02-08-06 You have got to be kidding me.......

02-16-06 Receive letter from Embassy to return with emails and passports! (DOS complete 1/12/06)

02-19-06 Flight from Karachi to Islamabad
