Here is my update I called DOS today and no updates on our case since December 2005. I will email the embassy since our time will be up by the time they are back at work on Monday. Plan on doing this after I get my pc up and running.

My pc died today so I cannot do too much. I have to take pc to get checked tomorrow. I am on the boys pc now. So I will be slow and no chat on yahoo.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Hope you get a positive response Mary... and I must say you are a patient woman ... you gave them weekends and holidays when counting the 45 days... I'm a literal person... my letter said 45 days - nothing about business days... that would mean Feb. 20 for me :lol:

04-13-06 - Day 97 since interview - Full set of prints taken at embassy - 3 sec checks requested from DOS

07-07-06 - Cable sent back to ISL

07-25-06 - Visa issued (15 months after filing including 199 days of AP/AR)

08-03-06 - POE at LAX

08-26-06 - Married

09-02-06 - Social Security Card Arrives

09-29-06 - AOS & EAD off to Chicago via USPS

10-01-06 - Rec'd 9:13 pm // signed for by R. Mercado

10-05-06 - NOA on AOS & EAD (w/ no middle name)

10-06-06 - Checks Cashed

10-11-06 - Inquiry sent through USCIS to add middle name

10-15-06 - touched

10-24-06 - Biometrics Appt.

12-14-06 - Interview - "Approved" Pending FBI Check

01-10-07 - EAD touched

01-13-07 - EAD approved per CRIS email

3/12/07 - USPS confirms delivery

3/13/07 - Check clears bank

3/21/07 - Reciept for BioMetrics Fee

02-16-06 Receive letter from Embassy to return with emails and passports! (DOS complete 1/12/06)

02-19-06 Flight from Karachi to Islamabad

Embassy closed until tomorrow .. no news here. waiting for the good word

august 2004 I-129 filed (neb)

DEC 2004 Approved

interview: SEOUL

MArch 21st , 2005AR for special security clearance,washington

May 18th tranfer case from Seoul to Islammabad

June 21st security clearance done

June 28th online at the embassy in Islamabad

waiting for paper transfer and the good word

OCTOBER 14TH 2005 Interview Number 2: ISLAMABAD, PK

AR number 2 sent to DOS per Islamabad (2 cable request)

Nov 22 okd updated financial and etc proof accepted / embassy waiting for security cables

dec 20th one cable back waiting on 2nd

Jan 17th.. good word recieved. SECURITY CHECKS ALL CLEAR!!! DOS says embassy to contact him within two weeks!!!!!!

FEBRUARY 10th, 2006 VISA RECIEVED!!! They called him In via phone, stamped his passort and sent him on his way!!!

FEB 28th WELCOME HOME>>>POE CHICAGO did not even look at xray, few questions. one hour wait at Poe

march 10th marriage (nikkah at the islamic center)

aug 2006 AOS interview, cond 2 yr GC arrived september

June 2008 applied for removal of conditions on permant residency aka awaiting for 10 yr greencard

Dec 2008 10yr green card approved, no interview.

oh ok, then they are closed til monday, Manzar thought they had wed thursday off, work day on friday. Im letting senator's ofice inquire why the backlog(maybe they get too many holidays) . when i call they say oh cathcing up just be patient Inshallah soon. blahs

I know and Omid thinks I am saint with patience I guess. LOL I have emailed them twice and call DOS every week. Email from them was your 45 days not up and on reviews (canned response). DOS says they have not posted anything since Ishteaq interviewed in December. I am going to email them again this weekend. I got the holidays off the web and they will have 9, 10 and 20th off this month. I am praying that they will get the backlogs finished or do something. It is so unfair on how they are dragging this out.
