It wouldn't let me put 59 dancing smileys...so I just used a handful ;)

I am a grinning fool at the moment. I was terrified my previous filing for Ibrahim would delay this I130 approval.

:) is there a cheesier smiley? :D

thanx Jenn! and tasha and mahboula!

I130!

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Omg I woke up and like usual, I started coffee, pet the Princess and opened VJ to see if Angie's man got his visa. And what do I see? A pm from Rajaa that said WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO..Well she woooohoooo'd last week! Was she woooohooooo'ing for MAYBE another touch for me?

As I clicked on the portfolio to see my touch...the phone rings. As I say hello to Rajaa...I see the words on our I130........Approved!

I have goosebumps. Trying frantically to reach Ibrahim....he dont know yet..heheh. I think he is travelling between Amman and Irbid now. I dont want to tell him in a text.

Thank you Rajaa for you dilegently watching my numbers. You are a special sister and I appreciate you.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Approved ! It's sinking in. :)

:dance: Congrats Jackie! :dance:

... doing things the right way paid off honey

why do people say things like this? Unless he came here with the intention of getting married & trying to stay, then filing stateside is perfectly legal.

Yes, but doing things the way she did avoided any problems, its ensuring that he will arrive here with a cr1 and she wont have to adjust status. It may be perfectly legal to marry someone that came on a tourist visa 3 months after they got here never knowing them before, but her bona fides are gonna look a whole lot better and her file will be a more solid file with him not having to wait out ead etc etc and then if he gets through his interview , there wont be that nagging doubt to immigration that he traveled over here to search out someone to get married to. We have learned here that right legal and reasonable do not factor into the decisions the INS makes nor the consulates. She will be assured when he gets here that she doesnt end up having to bank roll all the other things.. Hes getting here with papers

Oh yes what a blessing he will come and be able to work soon after.

Thank you for all your good wishes and mabrookulations!

wahrania, i know what you meant...about the right way. It was the 'right way' for us. Yes it is perfectly legal to marry here, file AOS and stay.

But he came to America to take a CPA exam. He hadn't planned on leaving Jordan forever. He had things to go back for...to say goodbye to family and friends, he only came here with some clothes. For us, the right way was for him to return and wait out an I130. I'm glad he went back to work. OMG I just realized something...he went back June 1 for a 6 month contract....if he gets his visa I wonder if he can leave before the end of December.

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: I'm still dancin! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

I know it would have been but I think he will be better off with that cr1. Alot less hassle for you. Alot of closure.. Alot of stress off your shoulders...Love ya
