Sorry to hear that.

I would wait for the RFE... honestly, they have months and months of files to go through (hence the wait), sending the certificate now isn't going to do anything except add more to the pile. Luckily though, it stays at the top of the pile when you recieve a RFE so you can send it in the moment you recieve it, and it will be good to go.

Good luck!

I mailed our K1 last week and sitting on my table is Linh's divorce certificate that was supposed to go too. Should I wait for an RFE or try to mail it?

Terminology is important to get the proper answer. You submitted the I-129F petition last week... subtle but important distinction..

The most common answer is to wait for the RFE, as the chances of the USCIS marrying up the information are remote.

YMMV

Make sure it's a copy that you send back when you get the RFE. Never mail in originals. Take the original to the interview.

Good Luck!

I agree with waiting for the RFE. Essentially, nothing is even done to your application for a few months upon receipt of the I-129f. As someone else said, there will be a slight chance that the two will ever be joined together without an RFE being generated by the adjudicator once your case comes out of NOA1 "hibernation" and the action begins.

However, I am also very aggressive and proactive when it comes to certain things, so I would also call USCIS in a short time to ask their recommendation as well.

It would only be an extra couple of weeks delay added once they send an RFE..that's if you act fast and send it in upon receiving it. Good luck!!

USCICS won't accept any things unless they asking for. You should repare a copy: when USCIS asking for you submit. If USCIS approves without asking, you still need to submit it to HCM consulate in VN when they send out paper to compete. The last thing is bring your original paper to the interview.
