I just want to ask here, does anyone know if i can bring my dog to US? and if so, what are the requirements to need to comply? and do i need to get seat for dog or do I just check him in as luggage?

Lady, yan bang dog na malaki sa signature mo? waaaa...mas mahal pa yata fare niyan sa'yo! if ganito lang siguro ok lang...

I don't know much about bringing pets. That needs to be quarantined pa yata.Good luck!

I brought my dog with me. My advise I is

*The best source of information for requirements will be the airline you use. On international flights, pets can travel as checked luggage, or as cargo. Each method has different requirements and not all airlines offer both.

*Shop around. The price varies from one airline to the other, so make sure you get at least 3 quotes, and factor that in when you choose an airline.

We flew American Airlines and my doggy made it here safe and sound. I have to admit, I was worried sick about her being on a cage for 15 hours!! but she made it and I'm happy I brought her with me

Call the airline you plan on taking the dog on. They can give you very specific information as far as prices and specifications that the pet may need. I called Lan about bringing a cat from Peru and found out the cat needs to have proof of rabies shot and a letter from a vet stating the cat is in good physical condition and is fit for travel. The airline told me to call the airport for information on getting the cat into the country (through Customs) but haven't gotten that far yet. Hope that helps.

I have flown a dog on an airline before (Canada to US). Personally, I would avoid it if possible... but it's not always possible, so I would do it again if necessary. There are lots of things you can do to make it safer, and I'd be happy to share my experience. I also belong to a dog sports club, and a rescue organization, so I have heard lots of stories (good and bad). I can't imagine leaving my dogs behind.... so I hope yours will make the journey with you!!

His name is Luke, but we call him Woo (because of the "woooing" sound he makes when he is lonely!) He's 7 years old and has been playing flyball since he was 1. He's on the small size (13.5", 12lbs), and just as cute as a button! I also have a Border Collie.... here's a picture of the two of them. (One day I'm gonna get another tiny Sheltie.... they're too cute!!)
