...once again waiting

Happy Caturday MENA! :dance:

Today is going to be an awesome day! (after turning 50 tho...everyday is an awesomeday ;) )

First, spend some quality/quantity time with Ibrahim online. Then it is time for JSRT 08! I am really excited today to meet up with malarie again and I get to meet Terrie! My laptop is working again so I can share pics when I get home.

Julianna, better you than me....I'm a loner and would put them up in a Red Roof Inn. lol. Then they can have their own bathroom, their own bed and dressers for the time here.

Morning, all.

Julianna, the welcome baskets sound really nice. Hope you feel better. Personally, I might be able to take a couple days of that arrangement, but 20 would be too much.

Babyeshell, hope Tarik's flight took off smoothly this morning and he's with by the time you read this. Happy reunion!

Have a fantastic road trip, Jackie!

Hubby got his driver's license yesterday and starts a new job on Monday. :dance:

But my sister's dog has to go to the vet this morning. She has kidney problems and has been stable, but she may have taken a turn. :( She's a big, yellow sweetheart. Hope it's just arthritis and they can get the pain under control.

Happy Caturday everyone! I think hubby and I will road trip to this big halal arabic store in New Orleans in search of some goodies. Then he has to work at 4 and I might make some bread again! :dance:

Jackie I hope all of you have a great time at the festival, M & H enjoy the shopping spree, and I hope Tarik is home safe and sound already :)

Julianna, I think your idea makes perfect sense but since you have a little time maybe you should state your reasoning and then let it sit for a week or 2 and give him time to digest it. If he is anything like my husband, he'll come back to you in a while and act like it was HIS idea all along.... ;)

hey where are our pregnant girls JP and Carolyn?? at this point whenever I dont see one of them I am thinking maybe its baby day..........

Happy Caturday!!!! Getting ready to go to Milwaukee soon for Arab fest. Can't wait to meet the girls from VJ!!! Hubby wants to go hit a few rummage sales first. He plans on getting me tired before i even start. haha. have a good weekend everyone!!

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Good morning MENA! I've missed you guys for the last couple days. My internet has been going down a little before 8pm and doesn't come back up until 6am! I can occassionally get a few seconds of connection, but its not worth sitting here waiting for it. It tried the first few nights of this week and got tired of it. I don't get home from work until 5:30pm so what little time I have before it cuts off goes to talking to my husband. I felt like I was having withrdrawls from VJ, lol. Thank God its the weekend so I can use the internet during the day.

Glad to hear your ears are getting better Olivia.

I am getting ready too for ArabFest! Heading out the door now to clean out the car and get gas. Meeting up with malarie at Gurnee Mills. Terrie I got your number ..I'll call you as we get closer to Wisconsin.

No baby yet...I can't call anyone these days without them excitedly wondering if I'm calling with some good news!

It might yet be a while, I say.

Or not! I'm meeting my sister for an Indian buffet for lunch--they say that spicy food can sometimes trigger labor, but I doubt it will for me since I eat spicy food all the time (helps being married to a Moroccan :yes: ).

I wish I was going to the Arab Fest! Have fun Jackie and crowd!

ETA: I just loked at the date when I signed up for VJ: Aug. 14, 2004! Wow, nearly 4 years ago! And the due date for my baby is Aug. 14th...maybe it's a sign? I'd be thrilled to meet our little one on this coming Thursday!
