What have they replied with? I imagine most of them that reply would state something like their timeline is unfortunately up to date and they are waiting... the other popular response would be no response (which could mean they are long gone or whatever). You will likely get responses 2 or more weeks after you sent the message too, not everyone lives on this site, there are at least a few normal people who just come here once and a while or when they have a question.

And apparently I remain your king for another page... it's good to be the king... except if it's just king of a forum page...

Yeah, I don't check Igor, or even the USCIS site anymore... it makes the situation worse. I try to keep busy with talking with my SO and working on my projects... all I care about is that my approval should be around December-January, so that's when I'll start preparing for the NOA2. :)

Don't speak evil of the holy IGOR LIST!!! I can't really argue about it being a bad habit, but I will say sometimes the information on igor's list puts me in a better mood... when I see a pile of approvals or something, but then again on days when there is no action it's just a little worse... I think I get more joy out of igor's than dissappointment overall.

So have you made decisions on how you'll handle the graduation? At this point there's really no telling if you'll even have a choice, I like to assume we're all going to get our NOA2's and visa's in a typical time frame... but there's entirely too many people running around VJ who've been waiting long past that point, unfortunately it means a lot of important life decisions are going to be handled by the seat of your pants (marriage ceremonies, graduations, flights to or from america, whatever).

Three pages ago?!? that's so long ago I don't even know if it really counts anymore! I'll have to go try to find it in the rubble of yesterdays conversations...

Hello Fred! I am just about getting ready for work. I am now working Europe work hours. I am scheduled to do some audit and gap analysis at the office so I will be swamped. I am happy about it though. I need the distraction and I need it fast. I am also almost done with my Lean and Six Sigma Yellow Belt and come January will proceed with my Green Belt training. It's kinda sad that I would have been able to complete Black Belt towards the end of 09 if it were not for the K1 visa. But, as I said, these finer things in life are more than worth it.

Take care you guys...

You can't get your black belt in america? This might surprise you but there are many martial arts studio's of all kinds in america... the teachers and teaching style may change but I think it's more about the student than the teacher, the teacher can only help you learn, the student is the one who actually decides to learn or not.

Mara - That would be awesome to meet up in the US next year, I really want to be able to make some friends and you're more mine than Bill's, since he never comes on here! :P

Maliciant - I've decided to just go with the flow and see how things go. As you say, we can't really guarantee that things will end up in the expected timeframe anyway so I'll wait a while longer to see how that turns out, plus to see if I can find a place to stay for the extra few weeks. If not, I'll make other plans. It comes down to; is my ceremony important enough to me to wait an extra 3-6 weeks? Hmm..

HD - I think you could get your black belt in America, do you get a certificate or something to show how far you've gone?

Dani - The K1 seemed the better option for us as we had a year left to gain a visa.. 1- We were engaged and I was happy with that. We didn't want a rushed wedding just so we could quickly apply for a spouse visa, we wanted to plan and do everything in our own time. 2 - Have you seen all of those threads and timelines by the spousal visa applicants?? I feel sorry for their wait. It seems to be pretty much a year, but a lot of them have had problems and are waiting longer. Many of them haven't seen their spouse in such a long time due to not being able to get past the border once married. I know that it's a tough shoot when you're engaged too, but we figured that it's a lot easier. I've told the border officer three times now that I want to see my fiance and have been lucky enough to have that granted. Many UK wives haven't been so lucky. 3 - I don't mind having to wait a few months to work once I get there.

Hope everyone is having a happy Thursday.. it's raining a lot here so I might work from home. :)
