eric i think with an infopass u waste ur time right now because they will tell u that u still in the timeline of 6 month...i will make an infopass after 6 month of nothing ...so earliest on the 18th february...

I know im still in the time frame. My issue is that the case isn't even found on the website or their phone system. So I have no idea if its the system, if its getting transferred, etc. I'm sure its fine but maybe I'll get some info. I'm not looking for them to do anything with my case.

UPDATE:

We decided to file the Replacement EAD application. We mailed it out via Fed Ex on Friday and the package was recieved yesterday 1/12 at VSC.

Our AOS had not been touched since September but yesterday, after FOUR MONTHS of checking my case status online our AOS was FINALLY touched! I hope it's a good sign. I am seeing other AOS touches around/on the same date as me.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with our EAD Replacement App, or if someone is actually working on the case.

Keeping our fingers crossed.

We attended our AOS interview in Garden City NY yesterday, and were approved without any problems! The interview itself was 10-15 minutes. The officer asked how we met, and asked to show photos and documents with both our names. So we showed our wedding albums as well as our joint bank account statements from the past few months. That was it!! The officer said we were approved and can expect to receive the green card in the mail between 2 weeks to 45 days. Woohoo!

Our interview was scheduled at 10AM, though we waited till about 11:30 to be seen by an officer... It was quite busy and crowded there yesterday. By the way, if your interview is in Garden City and you are traveling from Manhattan, you need to be careful with the directions provided on the USCIS website... You must take the F train (The E won't get you to the right stop), and switch to N24 from either the 169st stop or the 179st stop, and take the N24 all the way to 711 Stewart Avenue. The bus drops you off right across the street from the USCIS building.

Also, there are vending machines in the waiting room, so bring some change.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with our EAD Replacement App, or if someone is actually working on the case.

Keeping our fingers crossed.

The EAD is processed in a different office, so it isn't because of the EAD. Although it is hard to tell whether it means they are working on your case or just picked it up without doing anything, it looks like quite a few August filers are getting touched, and there are a few who were approved last month, so I think it's a good sign. My husband's AOS was touched yesterday for the first time since CSC opened it on October 7, too, so I hope it is!

Link09 -- Congratulations! :dance::dance::dance:

Moshmosh --- Ugh, sorry to hear that. Good luck to you.

Goldfee --- It is hard to tell on here because most people have both names on their profile (and some couples share handles). Jeraly mentions Jeremy a lot in her posts though.

Any other updates?

Ok wow you too!

It's so great to not feel alone in this. I know every case is different but nevertheless I have been studying timelines here and in other forums as well to get an IDEA of how this is going.

Good luck to all of us August AOS filers!

Could be wrong but if you enter on a K-1 or a K-3 then surely the interviewer will know that the documents were examined at the visa and embassy stages? We certainly didn't submit my wife's decree absolute with our AOS application. Skimming back through the AOS instructions, the only place it mentions submitting divorce certificates is if you are applying for AOS under derivative status as the spouse of another AOS applicant.
