Ok. So I just played this game for the first time at my brothers......WHY AM I ADDICTED!!? This game is so fun! He has a nice sized flat screen mounted high with an awesome surround sound and 2 guitars so you can battle. We had an Aerosmith CD and another and I loved it. Especially the rock songs by girls.

So now I am on a mission to buy this game.

Any suggestions on where to get a deal?

What CD's should I get?

Any pointers?

Who else loves Guitar Hero?

Next stop...Rock Band.

hehehe...it is addicting. We only have the PS2 at home but we were able to find Guitar Hero III for it and that one's pretty good. They're all good really...the later ones just have different songs and they tweaked the look of it a bit.

OK. So I think he has a PS3, is there a PS3. I am not a video gamer, but this game was fun. I can imagine this helping to pass time til my husband gets here on those long boring weekends. Then when he gets here we can battle each other.

I shoulda played with him last week, cus he had GH at his house, but I probably woulda got so addicted I wouldnt want to hang out with him anymore during my trip.haha

Do you have a game system at home already? If not, you might want to think about before purchasing the PS3. It's a nice machine, but after you get that and the Guitar Hero, you've probably dropped around $600. However, if you don't have a system already, the XBox360 or even the PS2 are cheaper alternatives.

The one major advantage that the PS3 has over the Xbox 360, Wii or even the PS2 is that the PS3 can play Blu-Ray discs. None of the other consoles can do this. To be fair, however, this is less of a consideration than it used to be, since prices have been steadily dropping on Blu-Ray players. The PS3 used to be the least expensive Blu-Ray player available, but nowadays, it'll run you about the same as others dedicated players too. Of course, none of those can play PS3 games (and depending on the model, PS2 and PS1 games as well).

Another Guitar Hero addict here. I can't count the number of times I was late to the office because I had to play another song before leaving the house.

I buy the PS3 awesome ame system i think its better than the 360 even though the 360 has more games but the Ps3 is the way to go. You can do so much to it browse the interment, it has WIFI, blue tooth, blue ray, etc.

the only thing that sucks for the wii is that you can't download additional songs like for the ps3 or xbox 360

I want just the drum kit from Rock Band. But I can't justify spending $150+ and essentially throwing away the guitar & bass.

The drums could actually teach you something about percussion, and looks fun too.
