Im super mad...Tomorrow is the BIG day for me and my husband and Im in a loop hole with our bank..

I called our bank 2 weeks ago to request a letter to show the IO that I am a signer on my husband's account due to the fact that by the time I was added the statement period has ended for July...so starting August 15th thats when my name will appear on them. So after the long wait I called customer service yesturday and asked about the letter that I requested!! then he drop the bomb and told me that there's nothing in the computer stating that I requested any thing.....am I crazy??...did I make this up??so anyway I give him the same info that I gave the other guy 2 weeks ago....then he's gonna tell me that I wont receive the letter until 5-7 buisness days :crying::crying:

I DONT HAVE 5 OR 7 DAYS...I was trying to control myself it was soo hard!! Im furious at this point because I don't have anything but the checks showing both names and same address Im not sure if that will be enough

I was excited about the whole thing and now im worried and dissapointed :(:( !!

I would make a copy of the paperwork you signed to be an authorized signer on your hubby's account. It is as good as gold, it is a legally binding contract! :)

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Does Citibank have branches where you are? Go into a local branch and request the letter in person.

If no branch, ask them to fax the letter to you.

If you don't have a bank statement with both your names, do you have some cleared checks on the account? Ones that show your signature, and ones that show your husband's signature. You can photo copy the fronts and backs of those cleared checks, to show that the bank accepted your signature as a signing authority. Of course, take the actual checks with you too.... but make the photocopies to leave with the IO. Explain that you requested a letter, and the request went MIA...... but if the bank will clear checks under both of your signatures, then that ought to show that you are sharing the account.

(I had the bank statement with both our names, but I also did as above with a few checks, just to be sure!)

Relax, don't worrry, and best of luck tomorrow!!!

If you've only added yourself to the husbands account in July, while being married much longer, and filing AOS earlier in the year, that letter may have little weight if any with an IO. It may actually look kind of bad, like you were trying to just get something, anything in time for the interview (in terms of proof).

Also why don't you post this over in the JA thread, maybe someone over there can be more of an assistance to you. If doesn't pay for you to be receiving negativity at this time, when you are in a panic mood. Okay

Please come over to the JA thread.

Actually don't even worry about it. It's a form of evidence that doesn't hold much weight. They look out for things that people try to manufacture. Pictures as well, cuz they can be staged.

I agree with Heliosphan. Try to relax its shouldn't make or break your interview. I'm sure you have other evidence that will be sufficient.

If you still want your account info, I think going to office max, kinko's etc is your best bet. Just tell them you would like to receive a fax and they'll give you there fax number.

I'm sure everything will be fine.

There are also other ways to show comingling of finances, joi9nt bank account is only one of them, do you have any joint utility bills?

A joint lease or tenancy? Joint filed IRS tax returns?

Not having bank info will not d=be a deal breaker at the interview, if you don't have the support evidence, be honest explain your situation to the USCIS interviewing officer.

Relax & Congrats on your interview, your almost finished.
