Hi everyone. i know everyone is different, but i am wondering if anyone with NVC experience can share theirs with me.

I paid the aos fee bill jul16 (70 usd) and of course, i haven't received the packet yet. my wife is really getting upset and thinks they should have sent it immediately after payment. i have told her repeatedly that this may not be the case.

Can anyone tell me how long it took for you? i mean, how long after payment did the i864 packet reach you?

I'd really appreciate it and hopefully can help my wife calm down a little.

From the time it was paid to the time my husband received the package in HI was 4 weeks to the day.

Just curious. was your's paid online or by mail?

Ours was paid through the mail (not online) - I think the money order was cashed about three days after it was sent out in the mail (from what my hubby told me).

Hi there, I did my online and I was able to send in my package in 2 days because you can print the coversheet online and you don't have to wait for the package in the mail. Hope this makes sense. But if you paid via mail it takes up to 10 to 15 days to receive the package.

Call NVC, you can mail the I-864 package if the AVR says AOS fee has been entered into the system or the I-864 instruction package has been generated. But you do need the barcoded sheet to send the I-864 package, so you have to use either Jame's shortcut to generate the barcode or wait for the barcoded sheet from NVC.

It may help to save time if you start putting all the documents together now.

I paid the AOS fee via post mail. Once they cashed the money order, the AOS packet was generated the next day and it took 2 weeks for me to receive the packet.. It was generated the next day but NVC did not mail to me right away. They mailed to me on June 4th and i got it on June 7th..

So ask the NVC when they mailed the AOS packet to you.. If they tell the date.. guess 2 or 3 days after that day of acutal mailing date.. Because they don't mail on date they say..

Hope this helps to calm your wife..

They did not send one out for me because I paid online. I talked to 3 reps and they all said that I needed to print the forms which is under the receipts section of the online payment system. I got the form and coversheet and printed out. I sent it out immediately and on the 17th of this month it was entered into their system. Good luck.

Hello, based from my friends experienced, it will take for 2-4 weeks, prior to that if you havent receive any yet try to call NVC.

We are still waiting too for our I-864, we paid it 3 weeks ago until now we havent receive any response yet.

perhaps, we just need to be patient.
