Well, only 3 weeks 'till the new season starts, although I'm not sure what to expect. Rupert Lowe has already arsed things up at St Mary's once; I'm sure he'll do it again.

What really makes me pretty sure that this season is going to be an unmitigated disaster, is the comment from the new manager, Jan Poortvliet, about Lee Holmes, a Derby County reject that we signed:

"When I see Lee Holmes, I see Arjen Robben!!!" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!! We're f***ed. Totally f***ed before a ball's been kicked!! Add a Plymouth reject, a Luton reject (my God, can the barrel be scraped any more than that) and a bunch of kids into the mix, and all in all, you have a recipe for disaster.

So what do you reckon for your team's prospects for the new season?

As far as the Premiership goes, I was convinced that this would be Arsenal's season, until all the uncertainty surrounding the future of some of their senior players arose. If Hleb, Adebayor, and Gilberto had stayed, they, along with the brilliant youngsters they have, would have landed the title IMHO. Can't see it now though. Liverpool are never going to win the Premiership as long as Rafa Benitez has a hole in his #######, so that, surprise surprise, leaves Man Utd and Chelsea. If Lampard and Drogba stay at the Bridge, it'll go to the wire again. If they leave, expect Man Utd to win it easily.

As for the Championship, well QPR are the Chelsea of that division now thanks to Ecclestone's money, so I expect them to be right up there, along with the likes of Birmingham and Reading. We will be nowhere - lol!

SPL? Well it's the same old one-two there (possibly Rangers to nick it this year).

Clearly, I am cheering for Frankfurt. And Barcelona. As always, I have to go for two countries. Being torn sucks!! And I kind of have to cheer for Guadalajara as well.

But really, I have no idea about football. Aussie rules football, yes, I do have a clue. We should start some footy tipping in the Aussie forum for next season.
