hey everyone! i heard on my last post that i need to call and get my iin number first before paying my AOS fee bill online. i spent the thirty minutes that i was on hold searching nvc website trying to find where to make payment. After i got through to the operator this is our conversation exactly (after she got our info)

Sarah: What can i help you with?

Mike: Yeah hi. i'm trying to pay my AOS fee bill online, which i heard you can do. But i'm having a little trouble. i can't seem to find how to do it.

Sarah: i can give you the invoice number.

Mike: Please.

Sarah: it's XXXXXXXXX

Mike: thanks. but how do i get to where i make the payment. i am on NVC website and i can't seem to find it anywhere.

Sarah: oh, i don't really know. i am not sure if it is even working.

Mike: Ok.....well......thanks.....I guess i'll just keep trying to find it myself

Sarah: is there anything else i can help you with

Mike: (Sighs loudly) i guess not.......thanks

I didn't use Jameshort at all, I followed the online way, which is put together less Complicated in Loto's Guide

I would call them, seems like something is going on, or you might have inputed your case number wrong

I got this message too like a month after they entered my DS230...I think once you paid everything they disable your account....

06.18.2008: Case Complete (So upset that it took this long 37days)

I got this message too like a month after they entered my DS230...I think once you paid everything they disable your account....

If that's the case, sounds like good news. I have been trying to call since seeing the message, but the line has been busy as always. I'll try again early in the morning.

The case number wasn't entered wrong. This morning my invoice showed $400 UNPAID regardless they actually took my money 2 weeks ago and I have an online receipt of PAID. I hope that they realized in the middle of the day that I did pay the IV fee.

You seems to got very nice person at NVC. :star: Many times people have hard time getting even IIN. :wacko:

Keep in mind that NVC never officially announced rollout of online payment system. This online payment system is hosted by 'Department of Treasury' and NVC is 'Department of State'. It takes years to get agreement between two very bureaucratic government departments on topic such as payment processing.

02/20/2008 : $355 check cashed

02/25/2008 : Case available to view online

I second that, you did get a nice person. The person I got a few times, didn't even want to give me IIN, then had my husband call a couple of times the same day and finally he got it.

Anyways follow that link given by several other members and you will be all good.

From what I can tell it's not a sure thing if you pay online (I know of some people who have had no problems and some whose payments were charged but not applied to their accounts)... but maybe it's worth the risk just to get it all done faster. I got my IIN to work (I had to sweet talk the rep to give it to me and she wasnt very a happy about it), but unfortunatly it was after I'd already sent the AOS fee via overnight mail... maybe I'll try the online thing again for the IV Bill... those who have paid online recently keep us posted to let us know if they've accepted those payments and applied them to your accounts
