How do you know they sent it the same day? and your timeline says NVC received?? - how do you know? Just curious.... I feel like I am in limbo because I know the next steps because of VJ but haven't officially heard anything new since NOA2.

Kathie, I live just north of Milwaukee but used to live in Beaver Dam, so I know Madison VERY well. Are you still living in Wisconsin? What area?

I'm sorry about my timeline. According from the USCIS operator that they sent out papers to NVC the same day they approved our NOA2 which is August 29, 2008. But when I checked my status online at USCIS. I saw that they still touched my paper Sept. 01, 2008. So I don't think they sent it the same day. I think they're lying about it. I think they exactly sent it Sept. 01 already.

I'm also confused about how they're dealing with our papers. Because some was approved earlier than I am and we have the same date. I got mad at their system as well. Aside from their inconsistent answers when you called their hotline. Their system are inorganized as well. Like for example. When my fiance asked them what date are they processing lately. They would say that they're processing April 14 filers but then the next day I got an approval of my NOA2 and I am an april 25 filer.

I really hate how they tell people. They don't even care on our feelings that we need to hear what is the real score.

i think its cuz they dot have a clue themselves...some officers are wrkng on say april 10th, others are already into May! It definatley is confusing..but i guess with so many applications and then so many officers working at different speeds its bound to be inconsistent. If only they wouldtell us that though!

Its hard when people get approved when they filed after you. We recieved our NOA1 april 21st and are still waiting :crying:

I'm so sorry and I totally understand how frustrated and upset you feel when you see someone after you filed got their approval. I also noticed that CSC seems working abit slow for these few days, hopefully its all cuz of the holiday and like I said before there are so many approval got sent out without updated on the web site. I'm hoping you are one of them will have your approval in your mail box soon!

I've been US for many times like you and looked it as a 2nd home and I really feel for you! I know how hard to put your life on hold just to wait for this long and painful process done but hun please hang in there always remember " Good things come to those who wait"

I'm fingers crossed for you and the rest of filer who are waiting :star: !!

Cheers,

Glo

Hi folks. :)

As you know, after your approval, the petition is sent to the NVC. There is often a touch after you are approved but all that is is a scan of your petition...doesn't mean anything more. To find out if you have reached the NVC or if they have sent it out and to get your new case number you need to call NVC at 603-334-0700, 1, 5 to talk to someone and they can tell you. Do not use the automated system as our K1 petitions are not entered into the system. ;)

For some reason, some from California are taking longer than others from California to reach the NVC. But, once it's there, it's usually sent out to the Embassy within 2-3 days. The only thing you'll (the petitioner) get from the NVC is a letter stating they received it and that they are going to send it off. I got two.... both with different dates... and both inaccurate...as we were actually held up in AP for 3 weeks at the NVC. Anyway, most people fly right through there and are at the Consulate by the time they even check. ;)

The next thing the beneficiary will receive is packet 3... at some Consulates it's more prudent to download the forms yourself and have them ready to send just as soon as you get that checklist from p3.

good luck folks... you're almost there. :)

Wow I can't believe I only found this thread now. Anyways, I just wanted to say hi... My sweety and I filled on April 14th and got the NOA2 last week. Funny thing is that I had gotten used to the wait and wasnt feeling so anxious anymore, and now with the NOA2 I know it's getting closer and I'm getting all hyper/excited/nervous all over again. :D

You know what's weird??? I was so excited and impatience waiting for my NOA2 to arrived before... But when I got it, I was happy for sure but it wasn't an adrenaline rush, over joy reaction thing I felt. It was like, oh! I was approved. Lol!

They sent it thru email saturday but I found it the next day. I wasn't able to open my email on Saturday because I thought it'll still be next week. Lol!

You know, even if how busy they will be processing with lot of petition. But still we deserve something better than their inconsistency. I wouldn't end up being impatience if only they would tell what we need to know. It's a long wait and the longer it takes for us to wait. We get anxious and emotionally stressed out. I just hope they would be more accurate for those who are still waiting. Because somehow if they're accurate with their answers, we feel more assured and it's comforting. It takes a little of that burden of waiting. We became impatience sometimes because we want to be with our love ones as soon as possible. I went through frustration a little bit because of this process. And I hope CSC will move their asses fast now. Holiday is over.

For those who are still waiting for their NOA2... Please hang on in there. It will come. Just stretched a little patience for this one. We will all be over with this long journey. Good luck to all of us!

I completely agree with you! Day and night I checked on the NOA2 (check former posts from me ha ha!), and now that it is here, we are just zooming by: His medical is THIS WEEK, his papers are already forwarded by the embassy, we plan on being married December 7, 90 days from today...

Then I think, omg 90 days! What am I going to wear? Will I be a good wife? Will I like my new last name? What if I start snoring after we get married?

I am finishing up the packet tonight so he can have everything we need by hopefully next week. I can't believe the time is finally almost here...

Angel0482, different forms/evidence are needed for different embassies. If you go to the "Embassy Info" link at the top of the screen ^^, you can click on your country and it will give you a link to the consulate website and hopefullly info from other VJ readers about what info is necessary. Hope this helps!

Heather,

I noticed that your process is very fast indeed and I'm happy for you. I wish you all the best as well with your upcoming wedding day! I'm sure you'll be a wonderful wife and he'll be a great husband to you. It's funny that since we filed our petition. I've been planning our wedding already. I just want it simple. Not too fancy. Just a small wedding. Because I want to renew our vows after 10 years and that time we will have a grand wedding here in our country :-)... *crossing my fingers* Lol!
