My husband (my then fiance) and I was in relationship for 2 years before we filed for K1. It gives us sufficient time to know each other well.

We were together for a year before we filed for K1. Some have only been together a few months. The minimum requirement is to have MET in person in the last two years.

Denied the first time and was only there with her for one week.

Second time 2 trips. One for 3 weeks and one for a month.

USEM most always asks how many times you met and for how long!!

I met my love online in January 2005...met in person April 2005....K1 successful and fiance arrived December 2005...married February 2006 and still happily married ! Good Luck to you !

We've known each other for 7 years before we filed for K-1 last Feb 2007. But I won't recommend you wait that long .Good luck in your journey
