Thank you for all your replies to my post. It was so nice hearing about how long you've known each other before filing for K-1 or before getting married.

I met my fiance' in October of 2005 but it was just a chance meeting. I never saw him after that. Our friendship grew through emails, chats, and phone conversations. Then that friendship evolved into something deeper. That was in 2006. We planned to meet in person that same year but he couldn't leave his job. So I decided to apply for a tourist visa, which unfortunately was denied. The long wait made us tired. We decided to leave everything in God's hands. We continued communicating long-distance (though not as often anymore) and our friendship remained. We pursued our higher callings too (we are both Christian ministers).

Then in November of last year, he finally had the chance to come to the Philippines. It was actually a move from God. We were both not expecting it. When we saw each other, it was LOVE at 2nd sight. lol. Everything else that transpired after that made us cry and praise God over and over again. He committed his love for me before God in prayer. Then he met my parents and asked for my hand in marriage. He stayed here for 3 weeks ... long enough for us to have real good memories ... but short enough to make us long for each other and anticipate our being together again.

So our being together in the "physical" was just 3 weeks. But we have known each other since 2005.

Again, thanks for all your replies. They were so encouraging.

Be blessed! ~ liza
