Hey guys,

I'm filing right now the DS-156 online. When I began to write the dates of my previous visits to the USA I found out that I made a mistake on the DS-230 that I already sent to the embassy for my packet 3. I wrote FROM 12-2007 TO 03-2007 instead of 03-2008, do you think that it is a big deal ? What should I do ?

I went 8 times to the USA from 2003 to present so I got lost in my dates :(

Oh yes, and I don't have enough space to write my last travel to the US, it is an online document so I can't add a sheet like I did for the DS-230. What did you do if you had the same problem ? Thanks

Juliette, This is Jeremy's answer to your question about DS-156:

I would say that she has to answer all questions in the fields of the DS 156, if something is too long in Questions 29, 30 or 31 the pdf generator used on the website will generate an automatic "(See page 3)" at the question and will fill out page 3 with what does not fit on the form

I hope that helps.

Thanks Kiristen, I did what said Jeremy but I can't write one of my trip, not enough room. I have all my trips on the page number 3 but one is missing. I will tell it during the interview.

It's nice to see the interviews coming along. I really hope to see everyone reunited again soon. The time apart is so trying on one's patience and strength. I'm impressed how some of you never seem to complain about it.

I've been trying to do the same - stay in the best of spirits despite everything. Well, it was working until I got off work today and talked to my mother. She was nothing better than a ###### to me, trying to manipulate and control me in whatever way she could come up with. It all started because I said I'm stressed out (a minor complaint I'd say considering I go to school full time and just worked all weekend), and she went off about "You did this to yourself" and "if you keep this up I'll see that Andy never comes over" (which of course I reminded her is not in her control, she doesn't understand that I will just have to put off applying for his greencard until I qualify), and saying all I do is complain, I'm not her friend I'm her "daughter" (you'd think I was 12 or something!), threatening to cancel the cell phone (my folks offered to add me to their plan when I got divorced since it was $10/month and refused to let me pay for it. I told her fine, cancel the phone and then you won't have a number to call me on, suit yourself)... I absolutely did nothing to warrant this mistreatment, and I'm so freaking tired of it. She even had the nerve to tell me she has to "walk on eggshells" every time she talks to me, "like at Christmas." I reminded her that she screamed at me and called me stupid then, so of course I was upset at her at Christmas, which she then tried to deny.

Anyhow, this is the ####### I put up with today for everything I'm doing to be responsible and in charge of my own life, having a 4.0 gpa, a job, and generally working my #### off every day. Just like I figured, I cannot count on them to co-sponsor at AOS and so Andy and I will have to put off his work authorization longer until I qualify to sponsor myself.

By the way, Andy has had 2 interviews in the last two weeks, but has yet to hear back. One job is supposed to let him know something sometime Monday, and I am going to cry again if he is not getting it. It's a halfway decent job as a hotel clerk. Please send your best thoughts, prayers, or what have you to him, as we desperately need him to work to be reunited.

Wish I could have taken pictures of a few arrangements I made today to share that so this wouldn't be such a blah post! I'm glad I found a job that is enjoyable. Just wish I had a few more hours to get stuff accomplished and sleep. I'd better get off to the store while everyone's still caught up watching football and the lines are short!

Aww, Aubrey. Sorry you're having such a time with your family. I can sort of relate- my parents have never really been a big part of my life and are generally apathetic and skeptical about this whole scenario. My grandparents (who raised me) are supportive, but not really enthusiastic. I think they're all nervous because we're so young but it's still frustrating. Anyhow, didn't mean to detract at all from your situation, but just let you know that we all have our troubles with our families and I'm sorry you're going through all of this.

Tell Andy that we all wish him the very best on his interview! I admire his perseverance. I know he's been looking for a while but many people would've been pretty disheartened by now. It shows a lot about what kind of man you're going to marry- he doesn't give up!

Hang in there Aubrey. I don't know how anyone could not complain during all of this; I think some of us probably just keep it off the forum for whatever reason. Throw in school and work and complaining would be a given. I don't think anything has ever pushed my buttons like this immigration process.

NOA 2. Really?

It went well...practically painless...in spite of all my concerns. Being stuck at NVC for all that time did nothing at all for my cheery disposition.

My interviewer said...'oh...you were stuck for some time in RANDOM checks...." Random. So all we did was draw the short straw

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

AUBREY

My mom used to be the SAME WAY. I finally said FINE I will not be callin nor talking to you until you can respect me as an adult. YES I am YOUR daughter, but i am not a child and do not intend to be treated as such. If it is THAT bad that YOU have to walk on eggshells (YEP I heard the same #######! or she has to walk on a whisper..sigh) THEN fine it is YOUR loss.

I did not talk to her for 2 months..when she did finally call she was nice and first and when she started in I stopped her said MOM I will hang up if this continues. She would stop because she knew I was not going to allow her to control me anymore.

babygirl you are not a doormat..DO not allow her to call you stupid..hang up on her..YES she may be your mother however you do not have to put up with that.

You can pick your nose but not your family...sigh

HUGS!
