the pink dress is so BEAUTIFUL!!!! yeah i was wondering the same thing as jackie...how many dresses did u have?

I had five dresses for the evening and another gold Kaftan, a gift from the family that is going home with me!! I loved all the dresses, especially the pink and red! Each dress represents a different region in Morocco and some Arosas (brides) change 10 times or more !!!

We did the whole 3-day celebration, starting w/henna party on Friday and we were all exhausted on Sunday !!

Thanks everyone for your kind words and well wishes! I'm back in the states now after an extended layover in London due to missing my connecting flight out of Heathrow ~ that airport is huge  Royal Air Maroc paid the tab for a hotel and 3 meals in London while I waited for my flight out on the 4th. My plane landed around 9:00 p.m. in SeaTac and my son and I enjoyed the awesome Seattle fireworks on the drive home.

It was so hard to say goodbye to my husband :crying:

The ceremony was beautiful !!! The family had a Kaftan tailor made for me, my husband's cousins and sister baked Helowa for 4 days ! We had le' Adoul come to the house after the Henna party to sign our certificates in front of all the family and had our party the next day!! Everything was so special, we had disco, musicians, and ameria !! I felt like a queen !!! Neither of us has been married before, and the family made everything so special, it was truly amazing ~ It was like a dream being showered with so much love and attention !! A Moroccan wedding is truly an event that I will never forget !!

My husband's birthday is soon. He has never celebrated one before, so that will be a special day for us as well !!

I know this feeling too well. Just keep your chin up and look forward to the days when you can spend the rest of your life together. Glad to hear you made it home safely even though it wasn't as fast as you thought it would be.
