Should I file I129f?

I have applied for Cr-1/Ir1 in February. My case is at VSC. Now it seems like K-3 are moving pretty good and no activity with CR1/IR1 application at Vermont.

So my question is, should I mail I-129f or it's just too late since its been 4 months since i got NoA1 for I-130??

02/08/2008. I-130 delivered to Chicago Lockbox. Signed by V BUSTAMANTE

08/27/2008. Touched.

08/28/2008. Touched. (This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred)

It wouldn't hurt anything if you did and won't cost you since the fee is waived. From what I am hearing about VCS is that both i130 and i129f are making it through the service center at roughly the same time.

If you get your k-3 you have to file an Adjustment of Status, AP, ect for working and GC. The CR-1 get a GC right away.

If time is more important than money file the I129f. If money is an issue stick with the I130.

CR-1 Visa

I-130 Sent : 2006-08-30

I-130 NOA1 : 2006-09-12

I-130 Approved : 2007-01-17

NVC Received : 2007-02-05

Consulate Received : 2007-06-09

Interview Date : 2007-08-16 Case sent back to USCIS

NOA case received by CSC: 2007-12-19

Receive NOIR: 2009-05-04

Sent Rebuttal: 2009-05-19

NOA rebuttal entered: 2009-06-05

Case sent back to NVC for processing: 2009-08-27

Consulate sends DS-230: 2009-11-23

Interview: 2010-02-05 result Green sheet for updated I864 and photos submit 2010-03-05

It doesn't hurt to file I-129F. It all depends on your priority. time with wife, getting faster green card, financial exposure. For me, I don't care about any other factors as long as I can get my wife here the quickest way.

Marriage : 2007-11-24

I-130 NOA1 : 2008-02-04

I-129F Sent : 2008-02-08

I-129F NOA1 : 2008-02-11

No, you will have to go through many tasks like getting AOS, EAD all for just a slight quicker process. K3 not worth it. I thought about it myself.

I understand the difference between to visa and the difference in process. I should of made my question more clear. It seems like there are only K3 approvals come out from VSC, and they don't work on IR1/CR1 as fast. So because of that time difference might be pretty big between K3 and CR1.

And also if I apply for K-3 will which date they will go by? the one on I-130 NOA1 or I-129f NOA1?

I am in the same situation as you. I sent my I-130 in Feb but now I'm thinking about doing the I-129F. So I called in to USCIS and they told me that the I-129F is processed on the date of receipt of the I-129F so it would be June, not February. I think I'll still gowith the I-129F anyway since it doesn't cost anything addtionally and it wouldn't hurt. My main goal is to get us together the fastest way possible.

I do not Know if it is a good idea!! But my husband do it, you can see in my signature!!

We do it because we are crazy about the situation (6 month waiting), and we like to have two different ways to be together!!
